As a Scot I claim no great knowledge of the English language but would "me" not be more correct in the above statement ?

Yes. This "myself" is another creeping americanism. SWT conductors used to really make me wince after a, "if you need any assistance you'll find myself in the centre of the train" announcement.

"Myself" is the use of an arcane English word when used in the grammatical tense in my previous posting.

The American use is a far more recent happening.
