Not St Columb

Wrong tour that was 50015, 50008 and 50033 all three on the front along the sea wall. I was on that as well but it is not this tour.

Looks as though everyone has disappeared off to six bells to check out tours with 50015.

Does anyone want to take the answer?

I have to go off to bed shortly as I have to be up at 04:00 and on the 05:10 train to London in the morning. With compliments of the person who thought it was a good idea to have a 09:00 meeting.

Edited to add:

No takes yet; I'm off to bed now. I will next be able to check the thread sometime around 10.30 tomorrow morning.

Still no correct guesses.

If it's still unguessed at 17.30 I will add a clue, but be aware I'll probably not be back online after 17.30 until about 22.00.

None of the above are correct.

Time for a clue I think.

I'm tempted to say it's a station in the SWT area with at least two platforms, but I think you have all worked that out already... ;)

So...

A more suitable clue... not far from this station, the numbers between two consecutive mileposts "jump" a noticable distance.

As stated earlier, I will be back online at or shortly after 22.00. If there is a consensus on the answer between now and then, please do feel free to have one of your interim entries until I can confirm the answer. :)

That looks very much like Addlestone to me. The signal on the right is set back which would suggest a level crossing, and the mileage changes on the Byfleet curve as it joins the main line.

Matt,

Having checked out National Rail I don't think it is.

It is very similar but not quite the same. The spacing between the canopy posts is all wrong and so is the bottom of the station building wall. The canopy posts are straight on Muggy's shot but ornate on NR.

Check these out:

I'm not saying you are wrong, but the traction is right for the line and I am pretty sure about it being close to a level crossing.

I'll see if I can think of anywhere else.
