I remember another forum saying more or less those exact words. Many members disliked the Moderation Style so left to a 'new forum' called x, post quality went up on old forum (y) but less discussions over time, 'new forum' expands and post quality ever slightly with it. x went from something like 400 posts a day to about 20 posts a week after years of service, (founded something like 2002/3 ish). Interesting to over time that the members who said 'it's much better now' on forum y ended up on forum x.

Time will tell. ;)

Did the members who left and joined forum x also have a compulsion to keep coming back to forum y to keep posting how things were going to collapse? :)

Sorry to disappoint you but this place is doing fine (there have been more active members in the past 30 days than there were the total number of registered members on the forum when I first joined about 3 years ago), there's no fear of us having to start asking for donations to keep it running!

Donations were used in the past along with 'other ideas'. I see current one is to slap huge adverts on the top and bottom of each page.

Did TTF have an award winning ticketing section ;)

I wasn't aware it was 'award winning'

One thing I don't understand BJMorley is that you have a go at John158or whoever for making crap/pathetic posts and you do completely the SAME

Think before you post..... Silly, Silly boy.....

No, I don't post the same pathetic/crap John158 does, because I can spell!!

But you can't call me a "Silly, Silly boy" as I'm the same age!

I find it rather lovely having two forums to browse now and a greater number of threads. This thread is a tad foolish though.

Even more railway forum froth!

On the bright side though, it makes more interesting reading than some of the rollercoaster enthusiast boards that I also use. Although new coaster froth is always as wild and blasé as ye like, it's never as entertaining as what one can read here! 8)

Hang a banger, What does being the same age have to do with me calling you a silly boy?:|

I might be able to start to understand if I said childish but not silly......
