Definitely not our HSTs not even pre Castle. It looks like the type of seat in the GWR HSTs (Grammer IC3000 or something like that?), though the moquette doesn't match those seats currently so not sure where it originated.

So will 604 retain its GW green and lining with brass plates or will it be standard green and alloy castle plates?apparently the Dft insisted upon standard GWR green so not allowed anything different...
GWR does not own the 57s.So will 604 retain its GW green and lining with brass plates or will it be standard green and alloy castle plates?
As GWR is a private company and owns the 57s why has the DfT insisted upon standard GWR green livery,it’s akin to them telling me I cannot respray my car!

I sit corrected.GWR doesn’t own the 57s, they are leased.
It depends on the leasing arrangement over who directly pays, but ultimately it will be DfT/GWR as they either pay directly or through the lease.I sit corrected.
As they’re leased who’s paying for the work being done?
604 will still carry its heritage green ( 3rd repaint in this scheme ) . As a passenger franchuse TOC rather than private, the DfT have control over certain things and unfortunately that includes livery now.So will 604 retain its GW green and lining with brass plates or will it be standard green and alloy castle plates?

Oh wow, a 458 seat! Must be out of one of the refurbished ones.New crew seat fitted for trials in SLEP pantry. So happy it's waving .... !View attachment 144998
It is indeed out of the first class area of a 458/5. The seats were taken out at Bournemouth depot prior to the unit(s) being sent to Widnes. As above - Class 458/5 is where my money is.
Because of engineering works, service only running Friday and Sunday mainly until march. There are possible training runs but several cancelled due to sickness. Why are the movements being made by road instead of by rail? Couldn't it just go as part of the consist locked out of use?
That's normal for a Mk3 isn't it?Bodywork looks a bit rippled in places.
...apparently the Dft insisted upon standard GWR green so not allowed anything different.... ( remembering artist impression of IET in allover chocolate.... ) .Even suggested coaches being named to help with booking...
Anyhow.. at Plymouth Laira, GWR 57604 Pendennis Castle is being prepped for engine removal as part of G Exam. 7/11/23. Taken as part of on duty...

DSO 12142 arrived back from C6 exam at Long Rock today via Alley's .
Disabled Standard Open? What does DSO stand for?
That's the current thinking, yes.Disabled Standard Open?
What happened to TSOD?Disabled Standard Open?
Not trailer as loco hauled and not tourist...only 2 tables !What happened to TSOD?
T in TSOD (and indeed TSO) was never Trailer. The designation was Tourist Standard Open. It is the LHCS equivalent of an HST TS (which is Trailer Standard). Confusing, I know…Not trailer as loco hauled and not tourist...only 2 tables !
