I gather 1C04 is HST today, so the grand plan was a bit short lived!
I saw some 802s on a Swansea service, so I think they are covering for a lack of 800s atm
Was this Saturday ? If so, mentioned up thread

Was 802006 and 802007 on this: http://www.realtimetrains.co.uk/train/C40332/2018/08/21/advanced
Funny. They were seen working this, a booked 802 working:-

Should have clarified my earlier post, according to an email forwarded to me by a SW Rail Gen subscriber 1C04 was 800017/029 to Bristol TM where there was a set swop to 43071/OC53/43024.In reply to D1009, looking at RTT, the 04.45 Bristol-Padd, arrive 06.19 Plat 4, came off Stoke Gifford IET Depot, which then formed from Plat 4 1C04 07.30 to Penzance.
Booked 10 coach 802 on Saturdays:
1C81 1203 London Paddington - Penzance
1A35 1730 Penzance - London Paddington via Bristol TM
Also 1C81 is formed off 1A77 0750 Plymouth - London Paddington, but I wasn't aware of this being booked an 802 or not?
They do stable there, off 2003 Padd.Where are you getting this info from?
The 0750 is formed from Laira so is unlikely to be an IET, unless they stable there?
Gen groups on Facebook mainly. They certainly do stable at Laira, not sure where else they would stable.Where are you getting this info from?

If anyone is interested, the second lot of weekday 800 diagrams on the Golden Valley lines from 03/09/18:
UP DIRECTION
1L10 0528 Worcester SH - Paddington
1L36 0831 Cheltenham - Paddington
1L58 1236 Cheltenham - Paddington
DOWN DIRECTION
1G02 0640 Swindon - Cheltenham
1G21 0936 Paddington - Cheltenham
1G60 1742 Paddington - Cheltenham*
Then after that, on 01/10, all of the HSS to Cheltenham are booked IET. They were one of the last on but one of the first to be fully IET booked. Also diagram changes for other 800/802 services on 01/10. Platform Extensions for North Cotswolds in November, and Stonehouse extensions are nearly finished. This will allow the operation of 10 car units on these routes, and Stonehouse to have all doors open on the turbo fleet.
*This was an IET from June until last week, although it returned to the 1722 to Hereford as the issue with platform signals have been resolved.
Interesting, I thought the intention was that all IET workings to Plymouth and Penzance would be 802s.Class 800 9 car workings to Devon and Cornwall should start in September. All workings shown run on Sundays.
Here is a summary:-
16/9/18 - 2/12/18
1C79 1057 Paddington - Penzance
1A98 1735 Penzance - Paddington
28/10/18 - 2/12/18
1C77 0957 Paddington - Plymouth
1A28 1512 Plymouth - Paddington
16/9/18 - 2/12/18
1C15 1303 Paddington - Plymouth
1A94 1740 Plymouth - Paddington
16/9/18 - 2/12/18
1C76 0857 Paddington - Plymouth
1A87 1350 Plymouth - Paddington
28/10/18 - 2/12/18
1C05 0800 Paddington - Penzance
1A95 1613 Penzance - Paddington

Other set was 800018Meanwhile the 1633 Paddington to Exeter has just arrived with a pair of 800s of which the rear set was 800026.
Not quite.
03/09/18 alterations deferred to 15/10/18 and 01/10/18 alterations deferred to 19/11/18, both dates put back because of late unit deliveries. 10 car operation on the Cheltenhams will still be a problem because of the Gloucester platforming issue.
Never knew that, and forgot about Gloucester. I am under the impression it is only platform two or is it platform one and two?
Clarence yard: the 06.35 from Padd-Penzance on 04/09/18 is showing on RTT as coming off North Pole IET depot, so should be IET, so is this likely to happen or is it deferred to 15/10/18 like you said earlier, thanks
Ah, that is a problem. It would mean it could not collide with services coming from Wales and changing platforms with Great Malvern services. I never realised about Platform 1 and 9 cars but thinking it’s only ever used 2 and 4 for me.5 car can use 1, 2, 4
9 car can use 2, 4
10 car can use 4 only.
