Indubitably :3 You make it sound like we're a dying breed...

At times I wonder.
It seems like those who aren't massively sensitive about everything and who get offended by anything are a dying breed.

I can have quite a good rant about that, but that's not for here.

Hi Ian (and everyone for that matter). 70s are a less controversial point here than other forums :D...

I've just remembered that I never did one of these, so I'll do a quick one now:

Name: -------
Age: -------
Location: Guess. :D
Interests: Music. Just generally. Graphs. Basic programming.
What's in my wallet: -------

Hmmmm, I remember why I didn't do one now... :D

I like them because they look so distinctive, you could never mistake one for anything else.

It's not just trains, I also like a few cars which are generally regarded as dog ugly, like this one:

Hullo there!

Been lurking for a while, but now that I've actually posted something it's probably time for a proper hello.

Name: Adam
Age: 32
Lives: Aberystwyth
Job: Retail
Transport interests: Pretty much most public transport, but nothing with wings.
Something I couldn't live without: Open spaces and fresh air. I don't know how you people in city centres do it.
Favourite Classes: Hmm. 14 years on the Cambrian Line have led me to grow strangely fond of 158s, but I still have a soft spot for a rickety old 317.
What's in my wallet? Receipts I don't need, random old tickets I never get round to throwing away, Cambrian Railcard and probably a spot of money hiding away somewhere.

Job: Student (and part time dispatcher at TNT Post)
What's in my wallet? : Visa card, library card and a Zimbabwe bank note for one hundred million dollars. :p
Couldn't Live Without: Probably my laptop. Or my dog. Or I could just be annoying and say life.
Transport Interests: Most of it. Except for buses.

Hi, I'm Mark, I live on Canvey Island in the County of Essex, my main interest regarding railways is remote railway stations and lines, the more remote the better, I like old railway signage also, glad to see some still survives at Hebden Bridge, Hanwell, etc;

My local railway station is Benfleet on the C2C (City to Sea) line from London Fenchurch street to Shoeburyness.

Being a bit of a film anorak also I recently visited Carnforth in Lancashire to see where 'Brief Encounter' was made, a very enjoyable visit.

Hello all im new here. Im hoping to rub shoulders with some qualified train drivers and find away to getting on board. Im 37 years old, been working as a project manager in IT for 12 years and it sucks, recently been laid off and now looking for a career change, i love trains and would seriuosly like to lern to drive and become a full time driver with one of the operators, Haulage sounds good to me I like the old disels.... Looking around so far it appears that trainee train driver roles are very few and far between and im hoping someone here will point me in the right direction to keep an eye out or point me in an alternate route, Im not doing it for the money (was getting 60K in IT0 im doing it as its something I want to do, as aposed to just paying bills, Hope to find out as much as i can while im here, And would love to hear from anyone who has imformation that would help.... Thanks all chat soon. Alister:D
