NXEA 321345 back at Ilford after relivery at Doncaster.

379010, 011 and 012 now at Ilford.

317511 has now received it's repaint into plain white, but still out of service. Being 'tarted' up inside before a move to Derby for rewiring.

Sorry, 321342 should also be added to NXEA's list of carrying the plain white livery.

Not strictly a repaint, but the 317 I was earlier, which I think was 653 (I'm now drunk) has refurbished seats- I think it's the same moquette as the 379s have, certainly very grey and smells new.

Yes that's 317653. It was refurbished as a costing exercise before the DfT announced that NXEA wasn't shortlisted for the franchise, so needless to say we won't see any more with new seat covers. As far as I'm aware, there aren't any in for repaint at the moment either.

EM 43075 now reliveried, leaving only 43060 to be completed.

43072 and 43074 from EM to EC. 43072 noted with EM titles on EM livery.

317658 has emerged from Ilford in Polar bear, and reports suggested that it has the refreshed interior like 653.

321415 has been reported heading to Doncaster, last of the Silverlink livery left with LM.

Your reports are wrong I'm sorry to say. 658 still has the same interior. There is a possibility another train may have the refreshed interior, but I'm saying nothing until its seen.
658 came out on Tuesday on 5O60 to work the Country End of 2O60 (0552 Liv St - Hertford). Its not got any branding on it either.

317653/654/655 (three) units to be fitted according to Rail although other than 653 exact units not confirmed. They will be tested to gauge customer reaction

654 hasn't been done yet. That's been running about this week. 655 however hasn't been seen for a while now although it it reportedly at Ilford. 709 hasn't been out for a few weeks, along with 671. But, neither of the units you suggest are the one that I believe may have new seat covers.

It also appears 317514 won't be in service for the foreseeable either.

the seat covers are all very well, but what I'd like to see (and maybe the next-but-one franchise will involve this) is the entire East Anglia 317 fleet refitted to a single interior layout- perhaps the 321 fleet could even get an identical treatment. If we're going to have these units hanging around for a lot longer (and there's no reason why not) it would be nice to have a bit of consistency.

Perhaps even the FCC fleet could be done at the same time...

466026 is currently on its way to Doncaster for reliverying ...

(On a side note 466022 is working one of the 2 Sheerness Line diagrams today, it looks very nice, the new livery suits it well ... photo on my Flickr)

Hi I haven't been following this well but are all 465/466s being reliveried or only part of the fleet? I remember Connex or possibly SouthEastern refurbished a sub-class for longer distance services not so long ago.

I take it the SouthEastern class 507 remains without a future

All the Networkers are being reliveried and refurbushed internally.

The 465/0 and /1 have been fitted with Hitachi traction motor equipment and are in the process of having a variation of the new Southeastern livery applied.

The 465/2, 465/9 and 466 are being reliveried and refurbished internally.

Southeastern refurbished 465201-234 in 2004 and renumbered them to 465901-934. More details about the 465/9s can be found here.

As for the 508s, 508201-212 are stored at Telford International Railfreight Terminal, Donnington.

Thanks any pics of the interior? Is the Connex inspired grey fabric being replaced?

also 466022 was on the medway valley line yesterday and there is a 50:50 chance of it either going on the sheerness branch or the MVL tomorrow, how many units are used on the sheerness branch on sundays? :)

The original specification was for full scale refurbishment but instead all were gonna get is a repaint with new seats. Although the 465/2/9s & 466s are better of with their new passenger information systems that the 465/0/1s will not get :)

A photo of the new Southeastern standard class interior can be found here and here, First Class can be found here.

Youve been pretty lucky to get 465931 but as it had traction motor problems a shorter distance route was best for it :)
