Hey Frankie, ...Yeah I done that, Kinda baffled at how they want people to answer. Safety is always first that's obvious.. Work/life balance has to be considered... so the only questions that I can think of that could've been answered different maybe the drunken passenger one

You have to consider the job you're applying for, and what it entails. You need to be safety driven, focussed on the task at hand, and consequences of your in/actions.

I thought the most/least were pretty obvious, but I already work on the railway.

Unfortunately, at this time we're not able to take your application further.

The application process consists of tests designed to measure the different aptitudes, which are required for the role of Trainee Driver. Unfortunately, on this occasion you did not meet the required benchmark

Yeah I got that nonsense too! Unless it's a thing they already reached a certain volume of people. Because they send that automatically. My mate his already a train driver. He done it as a tester he got the same message too

Can you do the error checking test on your phone or best doing on a laptop?

I received the video interview invite the following morning.

I am guessing as it's the weekend, HR aren't likely to be around, so anyone doing the assessments on Friday, probably won't hear back until Monday.

i did the verbal reasoning test and within minutes of completing it i got an email stating that i had been unsuccessful, is this a glitch? should i try again? I didn't think they emailed back so quickly but they literally sent me an email within minutes of completion.

also what are the aptitudes required to meet the bench mark because i felt like i answered accordingly, is it a time frame thing? or is it based off your answers?

It’s not a glitch, sadly. In each case, you are thrown out by an algorithm that wants a certain standard. So you’ve done alright with the first two, and then now at verbal reasoning it’s sadly been unsuccessful. One assumes that if you pass these three your CV will then be screened by a human as you have done some ‘pre-tests’ that would suggest a greater likelihood of passing industry standard psychometric testing.

Makes sense, well done on getting this far! The first 3 online assessments are quite tricky!

I finished Verbal reasoning yesterday about 6pm and haven’t heard a thing yet. Definitely more hopeful than confident!

I did the verbal reasoning yesterday afternoon and haven't heard anything yet. So can I assume that I passed it? Since I didn't receive a rejection email
