It's only one trip each way per day so the Lincoln diagrams are linked to HSTs not the electric sets.

as the regualr lincoln service relied on the acquisition of Class 180s ... it may however be re visited in the IEP era depending on how the diagramming works out for the bi-modes

Bit stronger than 'may'!

Lincoln
The benefits are:
  • an additional 6 trains from and 5 trains to London from May 2019
  • upgraded train interiors introduced between 2015 and 2017
  • station now served by new high speed IEP trains from 2020 providing:
  • more reliable services
  • more seats
  • more luggage space
  • faster journey times
  • improved wi-fi and mobile coverage

90036 is currently working 5Z90 Bounds Green - Bounds Green via Grantham as a test run with Mk4s. Loco should then work the following (subject to the usual caveats):

1B86 1408 London Kings Cross - Newark North Gate 1532
1B87 1552 Newark North Gate - London Kings Cross 1718

Going out on the 07.35 KX-Leeds today. So much for keeping it on the Newark services

Was always going to be able to do some Leeds work as well. Nice to let it stretch it's legs a bit more!

5D04 0641 Bounds Green to London Kings Cross 0657
1D04 0735 Lomdon Kings Cross to Leeds 0946
1A22 1015 Leeds to London Kings Cross 1228
1B86 1408 London Kings Cross to Newark North Gate 1532
1B87 1552 Newark North Gate to London Kings Cross 1718

To me it is odd that they can afford to be a set down in the peak. Surprised it doesn't do another diagram like the 1748 Leeds. (Although that is a tight turnaround)

Or is the 90 taken off and the coaches do another run?

On board, back to kings x (17.21) Diagram was turned at Grantham, due to signalling problems at Newark.

Loco not in traffic today.

--- old post above --- --- new post below ---

Loco hasn't been in traffic today. 90036 requires attention at Crewe, with 90029 looking the likely replacement. I wouldn't expect any Class 90 action before Thursday (20/10) at the earliest!

The better solution would obviously be to rerebuild the 89.

Badgers might fly again!

Will that be a first in passenger service to Newcastle? Be interesting to see how much time it loses north of Doncaster.

For anyone up the line. A saw it earlier with the 91 still in the formation. Too far way to get numbers.

No it won't, it was a frequent occurrence in the 1990s.
