London Underground stock requests

3260 and 3532 are undergoing Rail Vehicle Accessibility Regulations (RVAR) modifications. There expected OK date is 1 December, so that fits with a recent-ish test run, hopefully nearly finished.

91001, 91093, 91109, 93026, 93054, 93176 and 93206 are all stopped as part of the Central Line Improvement Programme (CLIP) for fitting AC Traction.
91101 has been waiting materials for some time and remains stopped past its expected return date.
93150 has the same modification as 91341 (see many posts in this thread) and is long term stopped and will likely not be touched until it and 91341 enter the CLIP programme.

91209 is working train 57 and is just approaching Ealing Broadway as of 11:27 today.

21463/464, 21487/488 and 21549/550 are all stopped expected back at the end of the year.
21479/480 are not expected back until March 2023.
Take these dates to be an aspiration rather than a guarantee...



21503/504 is also stopped showing the end of the year as its return date...

The Jubilee line units listed above all appear to be stopped and were last recorded working on:
96017 16 February 2022
96049 25 November 2021
96111 17 June 2022
96126 9 August 2020

I don't have details of why they are stopped or when they might return to service I'm afraid.

That's great info, thanks very much for going into detail. If some of those units are back in service in the new year than thats great news, I'm in no rush as I only have one more week in London before Christmas so fingers crossed for when I get back in January. One little typo on my part unfortunately, the only one you noted as being out wasn't actually the one I wanted, I need 91201 not 91209. Sorry, must have been a fat finger moment

I managed to note 91173, 92458 and 91083 on a journey from Tottenham Court Road to St Pauls, but the other middle set I didn't. I was on a day out with family, so I wasn't properly set up for noting Central line sets!

Can anyone help with which Bakerloo line units worked the 13:53 or thereabouts Marylebone - Charing Cross today (Sat 28/01) please? I have it as either 3246 or 3256 so confirmation of which one would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

If anyone is looking to photograph battery locomotives, there are currently six of them just outside Wimbledon and five of them are photographable from passing SWR trains - L19, L48, L49, L50 and L54.

The sixth is hiding behind the washing shed.

21479/80 has finally moved around Ealing Common for the first time in many months, initially onto the Alps sidings and now in the heavy lifting shop.

I believe it may have had its ATMS Automatic Track Monitoring System removed, as the cab notices have been covered.

It was out yesterday on 064 (to Wimbledon) so I left early and planned my trip up to Willesden with enough time to catch it beforehand. It then changed to 010 (to Richmond) just as I was getting to West Brompton so I missed it. A few hours later it reverted back to 064 but I was back at Ruilsip by then, and from late afternoon it disappeared completely so had obviously gone out of service somewhere. I might head down to Ealing Broadway this afternoon to see Black 5 44932 going back to Southall so I'll keep my eyes peeled and maybe get lucky to catch this on the same trip.

As an aside, there seems to be an increase in the number of Central line units formed with an A+B in place of a B+C at the moment. Anybody know the reason for this? I assume is is just maintenance schedules.

21549/21550 is still showing as stopped, but the expected return to service passed some weeks ago. It has not operated in service since 17 Aug 2021. 21503/21504 has been in service over the weekend including the Bank Holiday, but does not appear to be working today Tuesday 2 May...

96017 seems to have worked an afternoon peak diagram on 18th April, but then been out of service again until it worked single return trips on May 2nd and again on May 4th, before doing a full day on Saturday (May 6th), however, it does not appear to have been in service since then.

I think the only one of those you may stand a chance of is 96078, it was out on 6th May paired with 96017 but it had been out of use for a long time prior to that. I don't think it's been out much/at all since so may be visible at Stratford depot. All the others you mentioned are long term out of use.

96017 + 96078 has not worked since May 6th. It is currently at Neasden Depot rather than at Stratford Market Depot. Of those requested by @drglgray Bakerloo 3532 is stopped for RVAR modifications and has a return date later in the summer, but probably best not make too many plans to see 11035 + 11036 or 96126 this year...

Based off the numbers quoted I would assume this to be the London Underground Track Recording Train, comprised of two 1960 stock Driving Motors (L132+L133) and a 1973 stock Trailer car (TRC666, the actual Track Recording Vehicle).
