It's because the 21 diversion requires a change to the timetable unlike the other twoBut no changes for 42 or 49 though? They both use Brighton Place as well....

You are correct about the Atlanteans. They just made it to 2000. They had a final send off on service 4.Was looking at an old video and wondered when the following Lothian bus types were withdrawn.
Leyland Olympians from the early 80s ,y to c reg
E, J , M reg olympians
I believe the P reg ones went in 2009 and Ataleans in 2000
It was a gradual withdrawl of buses from about 2005, when some of the E reg buses were converted to Open top tour buses, until 2009 (I think) when the last of the Leyland buses were withdrawn that March, with the younger (P reg) Royale bodied ones going that August.
The last 51 plates to go were the ECB examples that left around a year agoI see , i seen a Youtube video from 2007 and there was J reg ones still running .
I found out that the C reg Olys made it to 2004 , in fact they went back into service .
Tridents are quite rare now . Is it just 04 plates left ?
Think the last 51 plate was over a year ago if not 2 .
As for the T , V , W and X tridents i cant recall when they were withdrawn

Bit of an unrelated note but just out of curiosity, what is everyone’s favourite/least favourite route from Lothian/East Coast and Lothian Country. From any year or garage, could be more than one route if you like, just thought i’d Spark an interesting discussion here.

Very rare indeed now. Usually a couple running on the 21,25 and 44 Monday to Friday. Also can be found on the express evening services occasionally.Hardly seen any Tridents of late . Must be hard to catch a ride on one , Meanwhile in Glasgow all i have to do is walk 5 minutes and i have one every 30 mins
