.... I have seen people saying that Lothian are running a Saturday service on all routes from Monday over Facebook....

I have yet to see anything in black and white (or should that be madder and white ;)) on Lothian's website or social media, all I have seen is "service reduction inevitable"

So where this has come from I've no idea...

This has come from Lothians staff... who are all having their duties changed. As yet unconfirmed what level of service they’ll be operating but a reduction in service is coming; be it public holiday/Saturday or Sunday timetables.

To add to the confusion of course is the already planned service and duty change from the 29th.

Less buses means less drivers so no one knows where they stand at the minute.

Or less drivers mean less buses.....

But thank you, I was beginning to think I had missed some (official) announcement....

We're going to sat duties from Mon, is it just me or is referring to Richard Hall as "Hall" not a bit disrespectful?

anyone reckon that the new stock due will arrive on time? if it is and the covid timetable sticks around long enough tomorrow could be the last day for the B7s. doubt it but it is a possibility

Doubful that B7s will be sent packing...
369, 839, 1096, 1137 and a vast array of the tour buses already at Newbridge for storage.

Noticed that most of Lothians open top tour buses have been moved to the motorcoaches depot at Newbridge. Assuming they will be cancelled on Monday and all drivers from motorcoaches and tours seconded to service bus driving within other parts of Lothian Buses.

whats wrong with the city vehicles staying in their normal depots? also id have expected B7s and older B9s to be moving there not XLBs and newer B9s

With a reduced service there would be a lot less space for drivers to park their cars as the car parks would be at least partially filled with buses.
take it the service must be dropping below a sunday service if thats the case

Looks good, albeit it feels unfinished. I'm not sure if the lack of gold stripe really works on the Wright bodywork.
nah cant say im a fan, livery was already basic as anything and looks even more unfinished without it, agreed with what you say about it not suiting the bodywork though

I think it could do with the crest from the Lothian City livery to break up the large patch of madder.

I think they'll hold onto them and possibly continue to sweat them as they won't want to get caught short of service levels need to go up and delivery of replacements is impacted.

It's a Saturday service from Monday.
pretty much all of Centrals 57 plate B9s, 369, a couple XLBs and most of the tour buses now at Newbridge. hoping since its only a saturday service some B7s will squeeze out since ive not been on one in weeks

Apparently the 4 is not running to Hillend and the X15 is not running? I tried looking at the reduced timetables on the Lothian site but nothing on those comes up, and I just read about that on a Facebook comment on the page can someone back this uP?

X15 and 45 are not running, a number of services are reduced to 20/30 minutes with the 63 for example reducing to hourly.

you can view the timings here https://www.lothianbuses.com/timetable/?service_name=2 by adjusting the service number from the drop down.

I wonder if a number of services (with the exception of those with low bridges) will be upgraded to double deck operation to minimise crowding?
