It is unlikely to appear unless a 777 fails unfortunately. I think it has moved to New Brighton sidings now as 5T60.Is there a chance 001 may come out later on for the peak services?

Ah that’s a shame I’ll have to try again next month. I’ll take a trip to New Brighton to see if it’s thereIt is unlikely to appear unless a 777 fails unfortunately. I think it has moved to New Brighton sidings now as 5T60.
Any 507s Southport side? Was going to have a trip to Waterloo spoons, if there are any this side, it will be the Station at Formby!A 777 has failed at Waterloo causing big delays, trains for Hunts Cross are turning round at Hall Road and buses running between there and Bootle.
All of them are on the Liverpool side sadlyAny 507s Southport side? Was going to have a trip to Waterloo spoons, if there are any this side, it will be the Station at Formby!
I can concur with this, I can’t see the trains as they go past but I can hear them (for as long as they were in service) and I can tell the difference between a 50x and a 777. I will miss that distinctive rumble once the 507s are goneIt’s great living next to the Southport line. I can look out of either side of my house and watch them go past. They even rumble distinctively compared to the 777s.
I’m now sat in The Railway pub beer garden next to Formby station, and at least two 507s have just gone past on their way to Southport, so I assume normal service is resuming for what remains of the eveningAll of them are on the Liverpool side sadly
I’d have been there if there was one working on the north bit!! Not going on new and yellow crap!I’m now sat in The Railway pub beer garden next to Formby station, and at least two 507s have just gone past on their way to Southport, so I assume normal service is resuming for what remains of the evening
001 is on the XX.08 New Brighton departures, XX.35 from Liverpool Central. Is 001 on the 38 from Nee Brighton?? I’m currently in James Street spoons, been waiting for this post, just had 29 and 10 on the 1012 from Southport
Thanks! I’ll get it at James Street inbound and do the whole loop!001 is on the XX.08 New Brighton departures, XX.35 from Liverpool Central.
Why are there still gaps? Have they not got enough crew to run the quarter hourly service and do crew training? I'd have thought that everyone on the Wirral must sign 777s by now, given that there are no booked 507 diagrams anymore. All nine 507s are out again today on the same routes as yesterday. The Northern Line has 007+023, 010+029 and 017+018 on the Southport run working the usual three diagrams. The Wirral Line sees 001 on the New Brighton line, plus 003 and 016 on the West Kirby branch. 016 is on the Saturday diagram which misses much of the day, and should emerge from WK sidings to form the 16.51 departure, staying out into the night.
Thanks, I know the Beer station and the Park Hotel and I agree you can see/hear the 507s go by whilst having an outdoor Beer (British weather permitting). Didn't know about Bar N'ista', I'll give that a go next time I'm in Birkdale.'Beer Station' - by Freshfield station, providing you sit at one of the outside tables. See and hear the level crossing operaton too, so you know when a train's imminent. Link to 'WhatPub' site here.
Bar N'ista' - by Birkdale station. Ditto to 'Beer Station', Freshfield. Link to 'WhatPub' site here.
'Park Hotel' - also by Birkdale Station, and virtually opposite 'Bar N'ista' (above). Link to WhatPub site here.
I’d imagine that a full timetable will be re introduced on the 1st of June timetable change though could be wrongWhy are there still gaps? Interestingly it was 777008 which has been in service since at least April last year. Was very odd indeed how a faulty heat sensor can completely ground a train for hours on end.It must be remembered that the final 777's are still being delivered to Kirkdale with 043 + 045 being delivered this week. New trains have to complete 500 trouble free miles before being accepted into traffic and we all know that 777's have been far from trouble free, requiring several software updates and issues with the sliding steps!!! I would guess the 777 that failed at Waterloo going to Southport causing 4-5 hrs of cancellations and trains to Hall Road only, maybe one of the latest arrivals!!! Plus before 777's started to replace the 507/508's we had 59 units to cover the services and we are only getting 53 new units to provide the same services.
It should be but Sunday's of late have been sole Class 777 running days and the New Brighton line is only a half hourly service today. We will wait and see what develops.Does anyone know the whereabouts of 507001 this morning please? If my calculations are correct it should have finished at New Brighton last night after working 2N60. Is it still there?
If it’s a hot axle box detection (which these units do have onboard) then it’s a completely reasonable job stopper.Interestingly it was 777008 which has been in service since at least April last year. Was very odd indeed how a faulty heat sensor can completely ground a train for hours on end.
As of this afternoon it was still on the naughty step at Hall road sidings

Thank you for the early gen. I don't suppose 001 and 003 are out again on the Wirral?507016 is on the XX23 from New Brighton today, starting with the 0623
