Could anyone find out how many miles it is from Sunderland to Newcastle Central Station on T & W Metro i have tried with Mileage Calculator but it just gives Error messages.

Also - when GC arrives in SUN do they use the Platforms Metro services run from??

Trips to Sunderland, Reading and Plymouth in the space of 10 days have pushed me right up onto 1842 with the small matter of an ALR starting on Sunday!

Charging through the mileage lately, now a whopping 3,067.36 miles for the year! :D

OI! Slow down! :D I know I said I want to be in the top few, but what's the point if the few ahead are miles [no pun intended] ahead?

Just for the record, I'm now on 1,701. Will be somewhere in the region of double that in less than two weeks.

Just worked out my distances from my recent week in Switzerland which came to 3221.97 km, which converts to 2002 miles to add to my total for the year.

Will get afew hundred on Monday with the LM eacape ticket. Then may get a North East in a couple of weeks if its good for at least 3 days of work.

There was a time when I would be out every weekend on the east coast. That used to clock afew miles up.

Up to 1206 now! Thanks to some business and family in London, and a quick trip to Manchester... via Stafford, Crewe and everywhere else, naturally!

Bwahaha! The second of four big runs in under two weeks has taken me up to 2,215! And with runs north of the border - yes, from Bath [Bristol technically] - and to Leeds to come, I'm going to be close to 4K by the time schools re-open on the 22nd. Do love not having my school placement during half-term :D

He will regret it once the tours and galas start

Merr, depends. Some of the galas this year sound good, but quite frankly there's only one gala I insist on doing this year, that being the tractor fest on the MNR <D Tours, merr, if I get to do even one this year then all good, if not c'est la vie. I prefer my HSTs anyway, so I don't have to do tours at the moment. Perfectly happy to accumulate mileage all day long on a ranger or some such.

As for theblackwatch's original query, most of my mileage has been accumulated on cheap rangers and rovers. Most expensive bash of the year was the GC one which was paid for with money kept over for just such an occasion from Christmas 2009. Everything else hasn't cost me a great deal, and you'd be surprised just how much you can build up on a FoSS rover if you don't mind what traction you get and do long distance, high speed moves. Which suits me down to the ground.

Having done that rover, it's all back to normal tomorrow now, although since I've got a bitch of a cold at the moment I sure ain't going outside. <(

Final update to come from me tomorrow, once I've ensured my mileage is correct <D

Not entirely accurate the figure, but shove me down for 4,150 miles please. Probably is a bit higher, but I'm too ill to pour over all my recent moves to get the accurate figure.

why is it that the updated milage sheet doesn't always pick up your (my) current total?

Edit: if you go into the first page of this topic and hit refresh, the current total shows correctly

After a trip to Bracknell and Wokingham stations to do some mystery traveller research for the Department for Transport, and a trip to Birmingham on a Great Escape ticket, my total now stands at 1044.67 miles :)
