I'm a music student at uni; mainly a singer (popular music rather than classical) but also play some guitar and piano...

In 6/8 timing are there two or six beats in a measure? I have seen quite a few discussions over this and people don't seem to agree on it.

I'm a highly musical person, I just have no coordination and can't actually play the things.

I was reasonable at the piano, but I'm about a decade out of practice. I used to be pretty nifty on the recorder (soprano, alto and tenor), grade 5-ish, but never took any exams. I bet I'm useless now.

But give me some sequencing or scorewriting software and I'll be able to show you the huge amount of music that goes on in my brain.

Is it just me, or do we seem to have a decent blues band between us?

    guitar - ok
bass - ok but fingers too small
drums - can just about keep time
    keyboard - one-fingered, sometimes 2
    recorder - haven't for ages

usually make music on the computer these days, more chance of picking the notes I wanted ;)

It seems! I used to play recorder in first school... don't think I could still play it though. I decided to test myself and do grade 5 jazz exam... seriously regreting it now. There is so much you need to know before you walk into that exam room! :|
