For future reference, Hayes and Harlington is not a mandatory timing point for freight services;
you need to use Heathrow Airport Junction or Southall instead to be able to see all such trains.

I don’t see what the reason behind the XC HST railtour set needing to go up to Kings Norton, though. When the powercar‘s are finished being vinyled, my guess would be that they are sent on test runs from Laira to Laira, like 43184 did, reversing at Exeter I believe. When the set needs to be in Leeds ready for the tour, it can be stabled in Neville Hill depot which is in Leeds, prior. Happy to be proved wrong about any of this!

The fact this is a unique path, leans me to think it will run. And whilst I can’t think of what would run this movement and why, if it does run, it has to be something!

According to a contibutor to sw rail gen it's 43022 & 43158 with coaches 48101, 48103, 48113 & 49101 operated by RailAdventure, no reason as yet as to its purpose or when it moves on from Kings Norton
