    Is this not a path for HST training?

    Because you don't get passenger services to depots?

    Probably the inputter forgot/couldn't be narked to mark/code it as an empty stock move (or at least the last leg).

    I seem to recall that both Wimbledon and Longsight had their own staff halts on the mainline. There was a shuttle too between Padd and Old Oak. I don't see why a service for depot workers can't be provided by what would otherwise be ECS to the depot.

    As an aside, there are current staff halts at:
    Battersea Pier;
    Durnsford Road;
    Fratton;
    Hoo Junction.

    There was apparently one at Northam (Southampton) depot but there was no evidence of one when I visited at the recent open day.

    Two lengthy stops in loops make it pretty useless for normal passengers!

    Old Oak to Padd was a mini bus. I did see a loco occasionally used.

    Been out of use for years. Probably since BR days.

    really? You don't get passenger services to depots. Surely that is fairly obvious. Where would the passengers get off?

    But, and again rather obviously, that wouldn't be advertised to norms!

    How do the train crew get off once the train is on the depot? They're not stuck on it until it leaves the depot again.... the mind boggles.

    The staff, once again rather obviously, climb down. Do you honestly think that Doris and Dennis are going to climb down with their baggage? I suspect you are on a WUM.

    Still shown as live in the sectional appendix (that doesn't mean anything stops, though!).

    Think it's more of a point to stop and welcome incoming trains into the yards.

    But I haven't suggested that gen public would be conveyed onto the depot, only authorised people who work at the depot. I put to you - how do you think cleaners and other staff get their equipment into the saloons - I'll give you a hint - it isn't from the ballast and through the driving cab....

    Northam is a Drivers only depot and most drivers are either taxi from Southampton Central to the depot or pass on a train (rare) and get off at the siding.

    Eastbound regular Jubilee Line trains sometimes stop at the short staff platform alongside Stratford Market depot; staff, travelling in the front saloon, get on/off by the driver's door.

    Trains at Liverpool Street have been advertised as "King's Lynn & Cambridge CSD" accidentally before for similar reasons.

    The train in question is a training run, as @matt stated originally. There are plenty of those in the system around Scotland. They have been around for well over a year now.

    The public are not able to use it, despite having a 'passenger' headcode.

    And despite all of this guff, it still isn't a passenger service.
