The former MML set on East coast does NOT have sockets or wifi.

There are power points in standard, but only at tables in the non-first class driving coach.

Correct, no powerpoints in Standard when I was on a 444 on Saturday, between Southampton Central and Fareham (a bit off-route, but there was a reduced service).
I'm sure 444s only have sockets in the first class section and the same part in the other driving coach
Grand Central HSTs have power points throughout (unless they were removed at the Kilmarnock refresh) in all vehicles expect the TRSBs.
