My friend showed me a picture earlier today of 807007 now running in passenger traffic as well. Looked to be the 0843 from Liverpool Lime Street to London Euston. In fact according to Real Time Trains it looks like most of the Liverpool services are now Evero trains with only a few extra ones throughout the day being a Pendolino. I've heard that Avanti want to have the full two trains per hour running in the December timetable but is there any actual evidence or even a reasonable chance of this happening?
There are three extra pairs from September (1007, 1107 and 1507 from Euston/0807, 1408 and 1808 from Liverpool) not sure about December.

807003 (unexpectedly) went via Chat Moss and Manchester Piccadilly and Wilmslow today to get back to Crewe, skipping Runcorn.

Is this the first time an 807 and/or Avanti Class 80X train has made it to / through Manchester?

I wonder what happened to cause it to go via the long way round to Crewe and not via Warrington?

Broken rail at Winsford. Believe the 0643 Euston turned back from Hartford to Liverpool.

Broken rail in the Winsford area apparently.

Class 805 engine reliability improving :

Perhaps just a statistical fluctuation, but quite a contrast in apparent engine reliability on weekday workings from Holyhead between the end of last month and this past week.

For sets monitored at least twice:
April 21st-25th
All engines working 05, 08, 09, 11 & 13
Engines out 01, 03, 04, 07 & 10 (50%)

May 19th-23rd
All engines working 01, 02, 03, 04, 08, 11 & 13
Engines out 09 & 12 (22%)

Will be interesting to see if this can be sustained.

I’ve seen on Avanti West Coast Enthusiast Facebook page this morning, that finally 807010 has escaped into the yard at Hitachi and is under going some static testing, so not long hopefully till that leaves and that will be all Avanti complete and delivered.

Photo found on Facebook regarding 807010. Looking forward to seeing that one in service!

its good news if the MU speeds are being phased in from 8th June, once they are up and running i will take ride on 805-807, to see whats the profile and ride is like, as i think it will be very sawtooth, with lots of hard accelerating and braking. Could be lively running with the new MU speed profile.

Hardly any bends on that bit.
The fun will come when (if?) Crewe-Stafford gets an MU speed above 110mph at Whitmore...
Whitmore itself has no MU but there is a mix between Norton Bridge and Crewe of 115/120/125 MU stretches.

Between Norton Bridge and Whitmore the MU does not exceed 115.

North of Whitmore yoy get a bit of 120 and a bit of 125…

North of Crewe its 125 MU all the way between Crewe and Weaver apart from a small area of 120 near Hartford…

Will there be any 125mph MU speeds on the South WCML that the Everos will be able to take advantage of? Off the top of my head, the Tring to Ledburn junction section seems straight enough to potentially allow this

Do MU speeds relate to tilting?
No, the MU speeds are being implemented for the 805/807 fleet to allow them to travel at 125mph on the WCML. This also has the bonus that LNR services will probably be able to use them at some point to improve performance and journey recovery.

A bit on DF between Harrow and Carpenders Park then Tring North to Leighton Buzzard OHNS.
UF is 120 in these locations.

UF is 125mph from Bradwell (Wolverton) to north of Bletchley.

Not other 125 MU.

The rest is 115/120 as Hexagon789 has said.

Thank you, I know Cheddington is a favourite location amongst spotters (and I do include myself in that bracket!) so it'll be good to see them doing 120-125mph though there!
