Updated in quote to show power car allocations for those who are interested - all services booked to be HST worked to day are HSTs as booked

LNER HST workings Sunday 1st December:

These workings are correct to the best of my knowledge, and will apply on Sunday 1st December only:
07:54 Newcastle - Kings Cross (diverted via Lincoln)
08:55 Newcastle - Kings Cross (diverted via Lincoln)
    09:10 Edinburgh - Aberdeen
    09:30 Edinburgh - Kings Cross
    09:40 Inverness - Kings Cross
    09:47 Aberdeen - Kings Cross
    11:20 Edinburgh - Kings Cross
    11:47 Aberdeen - Kings Cross
    12:00 Kings Cross - Inverness
    12:33 Kings Cross - Leeds
    13:47 Aberdeen - Kings Cross
    14:00 Kings Cross - Aberdeen
    15:00 Kings Cross - Edinburgh
    17:00 Kings Cross - Edinburgh
    17:47 Leeds - Kings Cross
    18:03 Kings Cross - Harrogate
    19:00 Kings Cross - Edinburgh
    19:35 Kings Cross - Leeds
    20:00 Edinburgh - Leeds
    21:00 Kings Cross - Newcastle
22:35 Kings Cross - Leeds (diverted via Knottingley)

As usual, on the day problems could result in services being covered by Azumas or 91s, but these are all booked to be HSTs.

The 08:55 from Newcastle - Kings Cross as things currently stand should be the last passenger HST to divert via Gainsborough and Lincoln.

Thanks - that's nice to see. I had a good run on 1E11, only marred by heavy mist south of Lincoln reducing the views. Nice to see a fair few linesiders observing the trains too!

Question: I am looking at getting the 1003 Kings Cross to Doncaster on Thursday 5th December. Is that still an HST? I suspect that will be my last run on one up the ECML :(

Post 69 in the thread suggests it should be (but I expect you already checked that!)

I, erm, didn't check that! I was going off my last work trip up that way.

Looking at the LNER booking site it tells me which trains are Azuma so they can be avoided ;)

    Update 02/12.

The following services have converted to Azuma operation today:
    1Y08 05:40 Sunderland - Kings Cross
    1B81 07:30 Lincoln - Kings Cross
    1W11 10:00 Kings Cross - Aberdeen
    1E25 14:52 Aberdeen - Kings Cross
    1E30 18:18 Aberdeen - Leeds
    1N33 20:00 Kings Cross - Sunderland

The following services were originally going to convert to Azuma operation today, but will now remain HST operated until at least next week, possibly until the 13th.
    1W03 07:08 Leeds - Aberdeen
    1E25 14:52 Aberdeen - Kings Cross
    1D36 23:33 Kings Cross - Leeds

I'll post them later today

The Inverness services will divert via Kirkcaldy, but otherwise there aren't any diversions next weekend as far as I'm aware.

The 10:03 is one of the last services to convert to Azuma operation, so yes it'll still be a HST on the 5th.

13th December should be the last day it's HST operated.

Many thanks for posting this information Dan.
Do you know why the 005 working did not convert to Azuma today?

Todays diagrams have gone out of the window as the overhead wires have come down just north of York. May have a knock on effect tomorrow too, so expect potentially quite a few cases of Azumas and 91s on services that should be HSTs and vice versa.

    No idea I'm afraid.

I wouldn't have thought so, the 800 diagrams have to be quite rigid, as to hand them back to the correct depot at the end of service.

They've generally been more flexible over that on LNER than they have been on GWR. It is entirely possible that HSTs may end up on 800 booked services and vice versa tomorrow with sets being out of place tonight.

A few service alterations today following yesterday's disruption. 1A09 07:15 Leeds - Kings Cross and 1E09 09:30 Edinburgh - Kings Cross are both 91s instead of HSTs today, with 1Y11 06:30 Newcastle - Kings Cross and 1E08 09:00 Edinburgh - Kings Cross (starting from Newcastle) HSTs instead of 91s.

    My apologies, totally forgot...

Will post them later today  (and I'll try not to forget this time )

No worries, there’s going to be a lot of angry bears around Kings Cross if an 800 turns up instead of a HST ;)

Is it right that the following week the HST will be down to 3 diagrams. (1200 London - Inverness the last one on Sunday north of Perth)

Is the 0900 and 0930 trains from Kings Cross on Saturday Class 800s or 91s?
