I’m going to my first assessment day on Monday. It says I’m gonna be doing group bourdon, trainability for rules and procedures 1&2 and test of everyday attention (tea-occ). Is there any interviews after this or is it just strictly these tests for that day ? Been doing my revision for the bourdon and tea-occ. Any tips for the rules and procedures part ?
Just tests, the centre staff are excellent and will talk you through everything

After these test if you pass you will get a dmi invite but could be a wait for availability

Hi,
Does anyone happen to have a general HR/recruitment phone number by any chance please? Haven’t had any luck with email so figure it’s worth trying to call.

Thank you

Guys, for the first interview- for those that passed, what information did you think was really integral for the first one? I'm just wanting to be as armed as possible with the necessary info. Ive done my own work just wanting to know what questions were askes company wise if thats possible. Thank you

Anyone else checking e mails every 5 minutes for assessment results
I was very fortunate I got Stage 1 results the following morning. I have now waited 7 weeks for DMI and still no date yet, so I’ve stopped checking and what will be will be. The waiting kills you, but only if you let it haha

We only did ours Monday so I know it’s quite soon. I have seen people like yourself posting about next day results. That’s why i am now constantly looking

I wouldn’t worry too much, especially if you felt it went well. The afternoon session on the same day as me heard back exactly a week after, which I find bizarre considering we heard the next day and were merely hours apart.

Still waiting 'patiently'' re medical last Tuesday.

Funny how you go from calm to anxious once the time you've 'realistically' set as a time to hear back has passed.
Guess no news is good news.

Any Inverness applicants on here?

I had my DMI 3 weeks ago now, still no word!
I could answer everything and felt well prepared so I am hoping for the best but who knows!

Can anyone advise if Scotrail allow drivers to convert one of their leave weeks into Lieu days?

Thanks.

I think with Scotrail it’s 5 weeks rostered and 8 lieu days.

Can one of the 5 weeks be added to the lieu day allocation?

Not without a good reason, I know of people who have asked for a week to be moved onto another one or two week block to give longer time off.But obviously this has to go through your ODM or whatever their called
But if you just want more lieu days then unlikely.

Seen a few posts regarding waiting for contract before handing in notice. Does anyone know if they send you out a contract in advance? And if so, how far in advance?

I've a start date for 28th November. I will email them to clarify, but thought I'd see what the situation has been for others.

Thanks

Similar to Kuksoolgirl, I have been provisionally offered 14th November for a start date but no contract yet. Are they usually fairly quick with the references/contract side of things?

I’m the same, they do send it out in advance but I’m not sure how far in advance they send it out. Hopefully get it through soon

I had to rearrange my assessment 1 because of shifts. It was no bother they just sent me an email reply acknowledging and offering a choice of other dates. They are running the assesments centers all the time right now.

Thanks very much. I have replied with dates I am home so hopefully they come back with something suitable.
