Scotrail Trainee Drivers (Ongoing)

Same situation as myself mate. Had the medical in October and haven’t heard anything since, although I was told you’re not likely to hear if you pass it more likely to hear if you’ve failed it or any issues. I’ve also sent a few emails chasing up but heard nothing back.

I had my final interview in September and I am waiting for a date for my medical. Also bathgate.

Does anyone know what the current salary rates are?

The fully qualified salary quoted today at the end of the 1st assessments is different from what’s on the ScotRail website.

I assume there’s been some sort of pay increase and it’s not been updated.

From what I got told at my DMI on Tuesday the guys told me it’s now 61k+ a year plus your Sunday and Tuesday money will take you well about that

Anyone who’s been to the assessment centre for computer ones have any info on dress code for this? I felt overdressed for the first set of assessments. It does say casual and business attire are acceptable on the email. Just with it possibly being a longer day than the first I’d rather be comfortable

I'm assuming that was meant to read rest day working,but with all these new drivers the amount of rest day working will all but disappear.

Yes indeed and they haven't made much inroads into the numbers leaving so far but my depot will be so over compliment soon that we won't get a sniff.

We have around 15 plus extra drivers and it's really dropped where i am. Plus side is some days we have plenty of spares.

What’s the usual kind of start time from passing everything ?
Being self employed I’m at the MMI stage so really difficult to gauge booking jobs in that take months to complete

Would you recommend more speed or accuracy for bourdon? Online im averaging 75% completion, is this any good?

Fair enough, wonder how many is in at a time then- I’m the 12th.

The room we had ours in had approx 10 computer stations, but there were only 4 of us in there ....I would say that's probably standard as they only had 3 interviewers to do the 4 (all passed) MMIs. Interviews took at least 60 mins.

I applied for Dumfries and with an employee as a reference and not heard anything back so use guys have done well

I got my email to say I passed the 1st assessment today, I sat mine on 23rd.
