While waiting for my train at Sheffield yesterday I noticed stop boards at both ends of the Down Station Sidings (for those that arent familiar with Sheffield station, it is located between platforms 1 and 2- theres the platform 1 line, through line, DSS line and platform 2 line). Im led to believe this has been the case since the Northern Class 158 derailed a few weeks ago.
Does anyone know when they are expected to be back in use and what needs to be done to make this possible? Also, where are they stabling the stock in the meantime? Realtime Trains shows a few ECS moves from the DSS in the morning and the sidings are normally used to stable trains on through the day on Sundays. It must be causing a few operational issues!
