66764 WITH 455823 455844 on time on the 1033 Stewarts Lane to Newport Docks Simms for scrap through Imperial wharf on time. This morning at 1125 am. Side sight to see the 455s depart on top off andv over the imperial wharf London river bridge for the last time heading for scrap. Leaving Stewarts Lane behind. And London. For the final time. However sad good bye to 455823 455844 now at Newport Docks Simms sadly for scrap.

66788 at Patchway on the usual 5Q55 1033 Stewarts Lane to Newport Docks scrap move with the faithful Arlington vans and 455814 and 455822. For scrap . 455814 455822 now sadly in the scrap yard for scrap.
Only 12 left.

The train passed me at Didcot. Interesting to see that the two barrier vehicles 64664 and 64701 are from ex Merseyrail 508116.

Interestingly, the loco on Tuesday's scrap move is coming from Peterborough rather than Doncaster...

Anyone know which 455's will be leaving this week? This should sadly reduce the number of Southern 455's still around to just 6. With no scrap moves happening last week, they should all be gone by Tuesday 9th August.

GBRF’s newest 66, 66734 in Platinum Jubilee livery is today’s loco so should certainly attract attention.

On time through Imperial Wharf. Formed by 66734 looking smart in pink with the flag on its body side. Hauling the Arlington vans with 455817 and 455820 to Newport Docks Simms for scrap.

That is a very sad sight indeed, with other ex Southern stock in the 456's and ex LNWR 319 being scrapped at the same time too. Most of my childhood trains being scrapped there, though it will be just as sad when the 377's start going for scrap.

Somehow I think the 377s going for scrap is a very long way off.

Looks like Porterbrook is having a clearing out of Long Marston then, with several 456s there, an ex LM 319 and the Birmingham Corporation 1960s blue and cream liveried ex Midland Metro T69 tram.
