The destination blind is interesting too! Thanks for posting. It’s a nice touch with the 455 39 years sticker on the gangway.
The train passed me at Didcot. Interesting to see that the two barrier vehicles 64664 and 64701 are from ex Merseyrail 508116.66788 at Patchway on the usual 5Q55 1033 Stewarts Lane to Newport Docks scrap move with the faithful Arlington vans and 455814 and 455822. For scrap . 455814 455822 now sadly in the scrap yard for scrap.
Only 12 left.
It’s already gone unfortunatelyWhen will the hove unit move?
GEC G315i Thought that 317 had EE507, maybe wrong about that. Maybe G312.
Which 455’s are booked to leave next week? I also wonder if Tuesday’s scrap move will be cancelled due to the extreme heat…STP 19/07 5Q55 1038 Stewarts Lane - Newport Docks

Heat's the least of their worries!I also wonder if Tuesday’s scrap move will be cancelled due to the extreme heat…
Couldn’t the Mk1 translators be used in place of the ex-508 ones?No moves this week - Translator vehicles need repair
Wouldn’t think it’d matter at this stage; they should all be history in a fortnight.Which 455’s are booked to leave next week?
I don't think they're compatible are they?Couldn’t the Mk1 translators be used in place of the ex-508 ones?
thanks. i must have missed that one, too many beers trying to keep cool..As previously stated No moves this week due to the Translator vehicles having maintenance work
Thanks!26/07 - 5817/5820

That is a very sad sight indeed, with other ex Southern stock in the 456's and ex LNWR 319 being scrapped at the same time too. Most of my childhood trains being scrapped there, though it will be just as sad when the 377's start going for scrap.Pics have emerged showing the two 455s arriving at Sims Newport as well as the remnants of other units at the yard. It ain’t a pretty sight sadly! (Credit to original owner)
Somehow I think the 377s going for scrap is a very long way off. That is a very sad sight indeed, with other ex Southern stock in the 456's and ex LNWR 319 being scrapped at the same time too. Looks like Porterbrook is having a clearing out of Long Marston then, with several 456s there, an ex LM 319 and the Birmingham Corporation 1960s blue and cream liveried ex Midland Metro T69 tram.Pics have emerged showing the two 455s arriving at Sims Newport as well as the remnants of other units at the yard. Probably a good 20-30 years off yet!Somehow I think the 377s going for scrap is a very long way off.
Anyone know what the 319 is please? That is a very sad sight indeed, with other ex Southern stock in the 456's and ex LNWR 319 being scrapped at the same time too. Most of my childhood trains being scrapped there, though it will be just as sad when the 377's start going for scrap.
