I've miraculously got an email from EMT for £10 off tickets to/from St Pancras if booked by 27/11. PM if interested for the code but I think it's unique to my email address unfortunately.

Thanks very much for the heads-up. This poses a dilemma - last year I did the Chronicle offer, but just after that EC had their own January sale, which was better. But the last EC sale in October was pretty expensive and restricted. It's a tricky one.
I agree. EC's Jan Sale last year was £5 singles Yorkshire - London all round, the October one was a bit useless.

Have received this from East Coast:

To celebrate 2015 we’ve slashed the price of our first class & standard class Advance tickets by 15% for the whole of January. Furthermore, Railcard holders will get an extra third off.
Simply click on the red button below and your 15% saving will be applied to London Midland Advance fares bought between 1-31 January 2015, for travel until 28 February 2015.
Nice to see railcard holders getting a piece of the pie for once. I'm not sure 'slashed prices' accurately describes a 15% discount thoughLondon Midland January Sale: http://www.londonmidland.com/days-out-and-offers/attractions-and-offers/january-sale/
There isn't a direct link from the website front page yet but there was a poster up promoting it at Wolverhampton on Christmas Eve, and the discounts are in the Mixing Desk already.
Don't railcard users get a big slice of the pie every other time they buy tickets?
But pay for that privilege...
