I think the tender is just for some early/late journeys, particularly during the winter months.Considering how busy the millport motors 320 is I am shocked it gets any support

The 47/A has always been one for random operators to come and go.Interesting seeing First down for the 212 and Blue Bus back in the service game for the 47/A
From Monday 30/5/22 Canavan Travel will be accepting Zonecards on all services.
It is.Assuming taking zonecards might be a condition of bidding for SPT work

Registrations in from Canavan for the 147 and 247. Not sure of its a typo for the 147 to have Glenmavis included or if they are rerouting it.
I don't see it that way. The likelihood is they're just trying to make up for lost revenue over the last few years.Might this be a ruse from Canavan to attempt to get some newer previously used buses?
Their present fleet are the red single deckers that were once used in London, with the reg plates being from 2005-09.
Canavan's buses aren't that bad. Some of the E200s they have are nippy too.I don't see it that way. The likelihood is they're just trying to make up for lost revenue over the last few years.
And yes they have a tendency to buy ex-London E200s these days (although some have come from other places) and they'll probably be getting a few more for this.
At least they convert them to single door.

Funnily enough they did buy a few Avondale E200s and converted them to single door afterwards. They cant be as bad as Avondale surely with their fleet![]()
Definitely seems really expensive since it's a 2 mile round trip and it's an owner driver operation from my understandingIt's certainly a service that has commercial merit at many times of the year / day - it's only because of retirement that there's no longer competition! https://www.flickr.com/photos/jncarter1962/49834607816
Yes; in the summer it's only the "late night Friday" return journey that's subsidised. This does however make it seem like quite an expensive subsidy compared to some of the others! The 578A is only slightly more expensive, but has a bus on the road for up to 9 hours a day 6 days a week!
Stuart’s of Carluke, according to the latest committee report.Does anyone know who’s taking on the First Glasgow journeys on the 230 and 299 from the SPT changes on 16/07/22? Thanks.
McNairn's have started early according to this timetable.McNairns appear to be taking on the 245 on a commercial basis:

Yes as it wasn't up for tender this time. Maybe later in the year or next year I presume. Are McGill’s still operating the 312 Caldercruix - Coatbridge Evenings and Sundays?
Cheers, are they running it from Inchinnan then?Yes as it wasn't up for tender this time. Maybe later in the year or next year I presume.
I think it's Johnstone that are running it.Cheers, are they running it from Inchinnan then?
Inchinnan now run all the former Coatbridge routes, that weren’t up for tender, i.e. 64/164, 165, 312, 364, 374, as well as the ‘new’ routes 49, 124 & 153.I think it's Johnstone that are running it.
Unforeseen circumstances = having issues getting drivers to do them?43 & 45 service
Due to unforeseen circumstances, are having to operate as a 435 for the rest of this week.
This will run to the same timetable as the Saturday 435 and to a frequency of 20 minutes.
Daytripper is no longer. It got withdrawn.I know this may be a little off topic but seeing as its SPT, does anyone know if SPT are still doing Daytripper tickets etc it appears they are no longer on the website although they still appear on the National rail site but with no info on prices or the map of validity.
