The London component could of course be added to dependant on contract wins, but New Bus for London not being owned by Stagecoach where they operate them might skew the figures as the buses replaced by them will become available for further service. Expect more conversions from single to double deck in London.

The order just seems a bit low, but still gives a fleet turnover of 15 years. (Mainly because its still growing)

Do were know where most of the stock is going?

I expect the 10 Wrightbus Eclipse Volvo single-deckers to go to Cambridge?

Who is getting the other lot of this order?

* 12 Volvo Plaxton Elite 12.5metre coaches
* 22 Volvo Plaxton Ellite i 15metre coaches

I doubt its all for Stagecoach East Scotland and West Scotland?

I would imagine that Bluebird may have a look-in at the coaches as they're the only other region with a decent number of 15m coaches.

I wonder if the 12 Volvo Plaxton Elite 12.5metre coaches are for the X54/X58/X60 route, with Glenrothes getting a couple of 15m for the X59.

The Stagecoach media release says that the new buses and coaches are "for services in the UK and mainland Europe".

BBC has made it clear who's getting what, ish: ;)

The company is also expanding its Megabus service in the UK and mainland Europe, with £6.9m spent on 22 new coaches, while a further 34 coaches are to be built for the Stagecoach Express operation.

* 8 left-hand-drive plus 14 other coaches for the rest of the Megabus network, with the other 22 going to Stagecoach express.
