Do they not work, or as they as dirty as the read displays on Morecambe's MANs? There's an illuminated flip dot in there, somewhere...... Mind you, the lighting on the front ones is still awful, although the S-Reg ones seem nice and clear

Hi,
Anyone know what the convoy of First liveried deckers with Stagecoach brandings were yesterday travelling north on M6 between Carlisle and Gretna around lunchtime.
Regards
Ernie

They're the 10 ex Wigan B9TLs that have been transfered to Fife. Been ousted at Wigan by 10 ex Stockport 09 plated E400s.

Well I say 10, four are already at Aberhill for repainting and other works.

Thank you Robert, When I said that Wigan was due some E400's. People on this thread said that Wigan was not getting any.

I was of the understanding that the main reason for the transfer was Manchester's lack of knowledge with newer Volvo products and lack of diagnostic kit.

The geminis are E4 though, but then so are the 56 plate E400s.....

what a smug bunch you lot are

Firstly mbonwick I was being sarcastic when I said it was 40 years old and really didnt need to be told the exact age

If the window that is supposed to display the route number was working (which many dont on carlisle services) ie on those MAN hand downs that we have now

ZahnradFabrik It certainly was not a coach as I am quite sure I know the difference between a clapped out service bus and a coach

Ste898 can you remember the full registration of this ''N reg Volvo B10''? so that we can work out what it might have been doing.

Rough sounding 18325 and 34685, with 16650 in top condition were on Dallam schools this afternoon.
Just reading on the Westmorland Gazette website that there's been a nasty accident at Grasmere so I imagine 599/555 etc have descended to choas.

To be fair, it only sounded like it was blowing through the exhaust. 18325 on the other hand had dead side LEDs and a very badly knocking engine.
I wouldn't be surprised if it ends up at Morecambe or Lillyhall in the next few weeks for an emergency engine replacement!

16668 seen on the 42 to Blackpool today (Saturday). Bit surprised as its been ALX400s or E400s recently. Shame, as it keeps dropping Cumbrian tridents onto it I require!

Believe they use Olympians on there again due to Tridents shipping off to Kendal.

18357 did a trip on the 38 this morning.

Preston based Scania Enviro400 15823 has gone on loan to Rock Ferry as cover for former First Bus vehicles away for repaint/maintenance

15823 was seen operating Preston Citi 1 (Preston-Longridge) today, not sure when it returned.
