Ealing Broadway is another station that was originally built to a larger track gauge, had a suffix added to its name and is currently served by National Rail and London Underground. It is also in Travelcard Zone 3.
Pitsea uses the 'Tribute' ticketing system which was first introduced at London St Pancras in 1994. In former days there was a through service from St Pancras to the LT & S route on which Pitsea lies.
Unlike Penistone, at the other end of the former Woodhead route that saw it's electric wires removed - diesel traction now being the sole preserve of trains through the station.
