A typical commuter-belt part of north-west England
Hag Fold is one of the local stations that lie on the Southport to Manchester Line; another station on the same line is Hoscar Moss.

INFORMATION

When that station was opened by the Manchester and Southport Railway in 1871, it was called Hoscar Moss, but that railway became a part of the Lancashire and Yorkshire Railway, who then re-named the station as Hoscar on 1st January 1900 and that is still the name used by that station.

Ah, thanks for this ... it's quite confusing, because different Wiki pages refer to the station by different names!

The Breckland Line runs from Cambridge to Norwich via Ely, and passes through Harling Road station en route.

Because of the limited services that serve Chathill (just two services a day, Monday to Saturday), an easement permits passengers wishing to travel northbound to Berwick-on-Tweed and Scotland to double back via Alnmouth station.
