My posting of Saunderton, a currently open railway station, was indeed subjected to an arson attack by suffragettes in March 1913, that caused great damage to the station buildings and Northfield railway station was also subjected to an arson attack in 1913 by the same movement.

If this is not a rail-related posting, then explain to me why it is not.

In my defence, having since done some research, it did sound as if it was a general arson attack on the village of Saunderton as a whole, not just at the station, hence my questioning.

Thank you for your explanation.

Appleby is another station served exclusively by Northern

Pembroke Dock also sees a mixture of 153s and 158s.

Services leaving Aylesbury can go to London via one of two routes: either via Amersham or via High Wycombe. The same can be done at Bristol Temple Meads going to London, either via Bristol Parkway or via Bath and Chippenham.

Hopefully not too similar to ones we've done before. I say a station and the person below would say another station that has something in common with it. It doesn't have to be unique, but try and make it as different as possible and please ensure that all associations are rail related: a separate game exists for non rail related links.

Note that you should only reply with a station on the main BR network (e.g. not Underground or Preserved Railway) that is still open.

After some recent occurrences, this may be an opportune time to bring to attention the emboldened part of the final sentence shown in the above extract of the rules of this quiz

In January 2014, the Cambrian Coast Line from Dovey Junction was closed to all trains after two sections of track between Tywyn and Barmouth were severely damaged by storm-force winds and tidal surges. Part of the sea wall protecting the trackbed at Llanaber near Barmouth was washed away, resulting in some 300 tons of ballast being lost and the formation covered in debris, whilst further south a section of embankment at Tonfanau was washed out. The station at Llwyngwril was one of those affected in this section.

Swale is the quietest station in Kent. By contrast, Reddish South is the quietest station in Greater Manchester, with just sixty entries/exits recorded for the 2018/19 period.

Reddish South was opened when the line between Stockport and Guide Bridge was completed by the Manchester and Birmingham Railway in October 1845. The 19th century civil engineering firm John Brogden and Sons was the contractor. They were also the contractor for the Ulverston and Lancaster Railway, which runs from Lindal-in-Furness to Carnforth through, amongst other stations, Kents Bank.

Blackpool North is another station that had, up until recently, TransPennine's Class 185 units running there, alas no more now that Northern have taken over operations.

Blackpool North is on the northerly section of what is known as the Blackpool Branch Lines. The junction between the north and south sections is at Kirkham and Wesham station.
