The long-standing* Sunday Only DalesRail trains between Lancashire and the Settle & Carlisle line have been interrupted by COVID restrictions, but are schedule to resume on 15 May this year.

Amongst the stops by DalesRail services are Langho and Kirkby Stephen.

* - DalesRail trains were introduced in the BR era in 1974.

William Tunn was the Station Master at Langley Mill between 1926 and 1937. He moved to Langley Mill from Alfreton, where he'd been the Station Master between 1914 and 1926.

Until 1996, services to Croxley Green used to operate from Watford Junction, calling at Watford High Street and Watford West along the way (and Watford Stadium Halt on matchdays).

Seven Sisters station was constructed by the Great Eastern Railway on its Stoke Newington & Edmonton Railway and opened on 22nd July 1872. Another station opened on the same line and the same date was Bruce Grove.

Neither Overpool or Eastham Rake have a taxi rank, although there are numbers for local firms displayed at the stations.

Digby and Sowton station is a short walk away from Sandy Park, the home of the Exeter Chiefs rugby team. Another station which serves a ground used for rugby (and football) is Coventry Arena.

In the 1940s, as part of the New Works Programme, the London Underground's Central line extended eastwards to take over the former LNER services from Liverpool Street to Woodford, Hainault, Epping and Ongar. Over in the west, the Central line took over the GWR's West Ruislip line (though did meant to continue to Denham).

In common with Rowley Regis, Hagley station also has a ramp for train access and Step free access to the platforms.
