Rotherham Central is also served by the same Northern service as Bolton-on-Dearne.

(I had to check that that was still its proper name, despite Rotherham ‘Masbrough’ disappearing years ago; and my taking a train calling at it about three times a week!)

Christs Hospital is also named after a nearby stately pile, rather than the village in which the station is situated. In the case of Audley End, the station - situated in Wendens Ambo, near Saffron Walden - is named after the nearby mansion; while Christs Hospital - situated in Southwater, near Horsham - is named after the nearby Victorian 'public' school.
