Regarding Middleton Depot moving I have heard PTE have got the land near Morrisons Hollinwood for a number of years so obviously there's no rush in them getting Middleton Electrified.

Not going in to it on here but I've also heard a rumour of a future fleet/service move round between Middleton, Oldham and Queens Road once Middleton is finally electrified but I'm just waiting to see as to when and if it happens.

Also weren't Bee Network supposed to be getting some single deck BZLs similar to Warringtons Own? What's happened to these and where are they being stored if indeed any of them have arrived?
Not sure if still there, but at least one was parked up in Ashton depot a few months back.

There were five in the yard at Hyde Road garage in the middle of March, as seen in this video linked below. I'm not sure where they are now

Regarding the single deck BZLs some are at Hyde Road and some are at Volvo in Trafford

Potentially the first ex Stagecoach BYD E400City from Metroline for refurb is on its way.
BDE204 has turned up at Bus & Coach World

Out of interest, if that's 6176, why does it appear to carry a sticker saying 9009?
My apologies, there may be crossed wires here (likely my part).

I read the training bus as 9009 (it's number) and assumed the 6172 moniker was regarding the bus in the background!

9009 is what was 6171, as I mentioned previously up the thread...

Ah, sorry, I didn't properly read 'MCRTransitYT's message and didn't see the other Eclipse in the background! I wondered if 9009 was something other than the fleet number.. I assume fleet numbers starting with 9 are specifically for the driver training fleet then?

Diamond North West operating Mellor Strata minibus 21229 (LN19 TYF) on route 87, tracking as e200 31435. 21229 was apparently used in Wolverhampton on Tuesday.
Photo shows it in Portland Street returning to garage after the 1853 arrival in Manchester City Centre, complete with paper route number blind in the window and Bee Network stickers
Seen this bus today on the 356. I think it was this one, it's what Bustimes says it was but I was driving the other way and in the time I had to look I was working out what it was at all, never mind checking the registration. Part of the uncertainty was due to a destination display that wasn't fully functioning although it appears to have been programmed at least. Some more blue buses for Saddleworth after the repainting of the Oxford imports? According to Bustimes it's been around since Saturday under this identity although obviously it could have been masquerading as something else before.

Can we now expect the 356 to return to its timetabled route?

Any update on the withdrawal of Metroline’s silver and blue B9s?

I have to say the Enviro400 EVs I see on the 38 are hideous compared to the BYD Enviro400 City that Go Ahead use on the 36/37. They’re so fat and bulky. Mind you, they’re pleasant to ride.

You might not like the design but they’ve got a higher seating capacity (being Long Wheelbase rather than short) and far better acceleration than the BYD examples.

As for the B9s they’re clinging onto I’ve no idea - they have enough new vehicles to replace them pretty much entirely… but have not, learnt not to speak negatively of B9s on here regardless

Would you or someone else (while my rail knowledge is good, I’m only recently learning about bus types/operations) be able to shed some light on something for me please?

Both Metroline’s 38 (Picc Gardens - Logistics Nth) and 50 (East Didsbury - Salford Quays) leave Central Manc near St Peter’s Square, and follow the route along Crown Court, Salford Central station, Cathedral, Salford Crescent, Pendleton Centre, and then of course the former goes to Bolton while the latter terminates at the Quays. However, despite running alongside each other for a good half hour of their runs, under the same operator, the bus types seem very clearly different.

38 Logistics North uses primarily the new Volvo BZL and Enviro400 EVs, with the odd Wright Streetdeck and grotty B9, and very occasionally an Enviro400H (used to be the most common under Stagecoach)

Whereas 50 Salford Quays is almost always Enviro400Hs or Enviro400 City, with a handful of Wight Streetdecks thrown in. I find myself far more likely to get an older bus on this route, namely unrefurbished Enviro400Hs, as they’ve never seemed to use Volvo BZLs or 400EVs on this route. Yet, they’ve never seemed to use the old B9s on it either? And I don’t see them using the E400Citys on the 38. Are the two routes using different depots?

The 38 is run from Hyde Road and the 50 is run from Sharston

TfGM are keeping them a bit longer as they still see the use in them, but they'll most likely go later in the year. There are enough BZLs to replace them all now so they could get withdrawn anytime really.
Ive noticed more BZLs on BLOTW saying they are for TfGM who are these for as I am aware Stagecoach are getting some.

In addition to the BU25??? tfgm owned bzls, there are lots of bzls owned by Greater Manchester South (stagecoach manchester), under 66***, 761** and 86*** fleet numbers. 10.8m, 12m and double deck?

There is 20 of them (10 double deck 10 single deck) all BU25s, Stagecoach examples are under "Greater Manchester South."

On the ZEBRA-subsidised BZLs specifically (150 DDs & 20 SDs; originally procured by Stagecoach Manchester)...

* 104 DDs (VMD367-470) allocated to Metroline Manchester - only 412 yet to enter service
* 6 SDs (VMS361-366) allocated to MM - registered/taxed but still yet to enter service
* 39 DDs (86031-069) allocated to SM - awaiting Middleton electrification works, which (per driver comment) still hadn't commenced as of a week ago
* 4 SDs (76001-004) allocated to SM - still yet to enter service
* 7 DDs & 10 SDs remain unallocated

Is the above correct?

Does appear to be yes.
