I am starting on my course in 4 weeks time, I was wondering if you could give any info regarding the course work so far and start and finish times and where you course is etc etc.

Smudge the first week and a half are simply an induction, 3 days at Kentish Town then over to Hornsey to get settled into your classroom. Very easy stuff! We're in week 3 now, had our PTS exam on Friday - we all passed. Just starting on our introduction to rules now, where the hard work begins.

You'll rarely finish later than 1530, lunch is paid for along with your travel to and from the training school!

Morning, does anyone know or seen what date GTR pay?? Is it the end of the month?? I currently get paid on 20th so gonna be a long 6 weeks if they pay at the end!!! Cheers for any info

They pay every 4 weeks and the next pay date is two weeks from Friday

Its a very long process and the wait is terrible. I spoke to them yesterday, and they said they will be in contact. So I'm just waiting to hear from them...!

When you say will be in contact i hope thats with al people...even if its an update on the amount of courses they planned for next year/ managed to plan this year.

Well yes. I asked when we will find out about courses as we have been waiting a while. The lady said she will be in contact soon. And we will find out! So I hope it is soon buddy! Its really not great not knowing where we stand!

I'm not sure! This lady. Sounded posh. Didn't ask her name tbh. She just said hello, gtr recruitment. I said what I had to, and said that I and others have been waiting a while and been offered jobs, and stated if like to find out start dates. She said she will find out and either her or someone will get back to me shortly! So I hope that happens.

No. Sadly not. I'll wait till this week and see what happens. And then chase them again! Its always better to keep at them.

I think someone did say Lindsy is away until 2 november, so maybe after this date we start hearing further news?

Potentially toughest 5 months ive had lol

But the Last correspondence i had few weeks back was positive... They just need to keep their word!! And it should all be fine

Yeah same here. Good correspondence :) so hope all goes well. Well best to wait till that Friday. As the 2nd is a Monday. So maybe we will hear something!!

I will be starting at Three Bridges on 7th December and have had my medical, contract etc. For those who will also be starting at Three Bridges, does anyone know if the training will be at Three Bridges or elsewhere? I know the first 3 days are at Kentish Town but after that there is no mention of location.

Am waiting for Bedford/hitchin was told around 12 months wait for a course there for me, am towards the back of the pool though since had assesments in July, they are waiting for a manpower plan due shortly.
