There were another 4 buses on to Carterton that night - though it makes no difference to landing up on the first bus to Witney in the morning. What they do when they get to Carterton - pass

We take the 0840 Stagecoach S1 bus back to Oxford, getting off at Oxford George Street at at 0913 Sunday morning

Travel options from Bromsgrove station are sparse on Sunday afternoon and it's too far to walk into the centre of Bromsgrove.

We back-track a little on the 1420 London Midland train to Droitwich Spa, arriving at 1429 Sunday afternoon.

The lack of rail services and the long walk to the town centre at Bromsgrove is what made me give up

Anyway, from Worcester, we then board the 1528 London Midland service 2S16 to Shirley, arriving there at 1645 on Sunday afternoon.

We'd prefer to stay out of London, at least until we are dragged in kicking and screaming, so we take the 0703 Chiltern service to Gerrards Cross, arriving at 0724 Monday morning

A typical commuter-belt part of north-west England
Working on the assumption that an evil entity has made all contestants fall under its spell in my absence where it is difficult to reach places far removed from the area where the lady weather forecaster says"....and here in the South East..<(", I call upon all of the archangels in Heaven to come to my aid, which enables me to post....

We next board the 1133 FGW service to Newton Abbot that arrives there at 1349 on Monday afternoon.

Returning to Havant station, a mysterious gigantic horseshoe magnet to the north (labelled LONDON) traps us in its irresistible force field and makes us join the 2200 Southern departure.

Luckily this train terminates at Three Bridges at 2307 Monday evening.
