With Marylebone station being within the walking limit, we head there in order to get out of the capital.

After getting there, we look at the departure board, and decide to get on the 15:15 Chiltern to Birmingham Snow Hill .
We take this, and get off at Solihull at 16:44 on Wednesday afternoon

We now have the chance to sample a route operated by brand new 15-reg Platinum ADL Enviro 400MMCs, so exiting the station, we then board the 1650 National Express West Midlands service 957 to Birmingham (Pavillions), arriving there at 1741 on Wednesday afternoon.

Well that bus shoots off back to Aberystwyth after only one minute so our rules bar us from taking it

So we take the Lewis Coaches 585 departure next morning at 0635 and travel to Tregaron Square, arriving at 0708 Thursday morning

Services in this neck of the wood, as expected in mid-Wales, are very scarce. Luckily we can board the 0920 Brodyr James service 588 to Llangwyryfon (Post Office), arriving there at 1001 on Thursday morning.

These rural bus services are really starting to irritate me, so we head back towards a more larger settlement and board the 1317 Lewis Coaches service 588 to Aberystwyth (Bus Station), arriving there at 1359 on Thursday afternoon.

We call it a night before joining the first train of the morning, the 0640 Northern service as far as Stockport arriving at 0718 Friday morning.

It's Friday morning and we're in the Manchester area. Will we be able to position ourselves for the 0922 Stockport-Stalybridge? Probably not!

At 19:46, a train rolls into the station. We decide to take this service to London Paddington, but only as far as Moreton-in-Marsh, where we arrive at 20:37 on Friday evening
