We make our way to the bus stop outside the tube station and board the 1245 London Bus service H91 to Turnham Green (Chiswick Police Station on Chiswick High Road) that arrives there at 1317 on Wednesday afternoon.
Waiting at the same stop, it's 6 minutes until the arrival of the next London United service 27 which we take to Marylebone Road / Baker Street arriving at 1429Wednesday afternoon.
With Marylebone station being within the walking limit, we head there in order to get out of the capital.
After getting there, we look at the departure board, and decide to get on the 15:15 Chiltern to Birmingham Snow Hill .
We take this, and get off at Solihull at 16:44 on Wednesday afternoon
We now have the chance to sample a route operated by brand new 15-reg Platinum ADL Enviro 400MMCs, so exiting the station, we then board the 1650 National Express West Midlands service 957 to Birmingham (Pavillions), arriving there at 1741 on Wednesday afternoon.
Services in this neck of the wood, as expected in mid-Wales, are very scarce. Luckily we can board the 0920 Brodyr James service 588 to Llangwyryfon (Post Office), arriving there at 1001 on Thursday morning.

We make our way into the railway station and are in good time to board the 2248 Northern service to Mobberley that arrives there at 2334 on Thursday evening.
Heading to the bus stop outside the Compasses Inn, we then board the 1015 Diamond Bus service 2L to Cleobury Mortimer (Talbot Inn), arriving there at 1044 on Friday morning.
We have time to grab a quick coffee before boarding the 1655 First in Worcestershire and Herefordshire service 44 to Great Malvern (Graham Road), arriving there at 1739 on Friday afternoon.
At 19:46, a train rolls into the station. We decide to take this service to London Paddington, but only as far as Moreton-in-Marsh, where we arrive at 20:37 on Friday evening
