We are in an unusual situation here in that I think for the first time (for me anyway), we are at a location where we can walk to a series of bus stops, but only a few of them are within the permitted 0.5 mile boundary. Stops A4, A5, A10, A11 and A13-A18 at Royal Parade are just within 0.5 miles (the rest are just over), so we take the walk to stop A13 and board the 1005 Stagecoach South West Gold service to Torquay (Grand Hotel), arriving there at 1145 on Thursday morning.

We take the 3 minute walk into the nearby railway station and take the 1225 Great Western Railway service to Dawlish Warren arriving at 1253 on Thursday afternoon.

A lovely part of the country this, as we exit the station and walk past the hilariously named Silly Goose Pub to the bus stop at the end of Beach Road, where we are perfectly timed to catch the 1305 Stagecoach South West service 22 to Teignmouth (Post Office), arriving there at 1332 on what I hope is Thursday afternoon.
