Why back to Reading?
I'm fed up with the South-West and didn't want to end up in Weymouth again! Also, I was just about to play a move to Worcester when you played that, so I thought I'd see if someone took us to Paddington off Reading. As it happens, we went to Heathrow instead!

We next board the 0702 Stagecoach Oxfordshire service 8 to Barton (the bus stop opposite Edgecombe Road on Enstone Road) that arrives there at 0717 on Saturday morning.
I assume that's the stop on North Road near the A40/A420/A4142 roundabout - I can't find Enstone Road?

Hoping we're in the right place, we then cross the roundabout and board the 07:22 Arriva Beds and Bucks service 'Sapphire 280' to Haddenham, adj Railway Station, arriving at 08:10 Saturday morning.

Richmond isn't in the south west, and also you can't get from Reading or Richmond to Weymouth unless you change at Clapham or Waterloo.

We then board the 07:18 Arriva Trains Wales Bus service to Chester, arriving at 09:38 Sunday morning.

This does appear to be a permanent bustitution service.

I think that's quite a silly move, given that we've effectively just come from there.

Shrewsbury isn't too bad to be fair. It's moves such as the ones that took place earlier on at Reading and York that are the ones. I think there should be a ban on returning in the direction we've just come from when there are plenty of other services; how it'd be enforced however is another question.

Fair enough. I think the "pseudo realistic fasion" clause can be used in such instances. If one was actually going around the country as we are, certain moves (such as the ones you have pointed out) simply wouldn't be made. Especially when there are lots of other options.
