Metrolink Engineering Works 2025.

We are a four minute walk away from Anchorage tram stop. Now under regular operations, with Anchorage being on the Eccles Line, services traditionally operate from Eccles to Ashton via the city centre. However, until 10th August, there is major engineering works taking place, with no services between Piccadilly Gardens and Piccadilly whilst new tracks are laid along Aytoun Street. As a result, the Eccles Line is diverting to Victoria via Market Street instead, and services to Ashton are starting/terminating at Piccadilly. The issue is that journey planners, on both the Bee Network site and Bus Times, are now showing the amended timetable/operations, but on a permanent basis beyond 10th August.

Due to the complex timetabling, and respecting our elderly but nonetheless respectable members on here (Paul!), would anyone be in agreement to allow us to use the 'new' (but in reality temporary) timetables, to avoid having to make complex journeys? Under normal circumstances, it would not usually be possible to make a direct journey between Eccles and Victoria without changing at Cornbrook. Otherwise, I'd have to make a journey towards St Peter's Square and beyond towards Ashton, but I'd essentially have to merge the two timetables together (Eccles-St Peter's Square/Piccadilly to Ashton) to make a 'direct' journey, which could lead to complications.

On that note, if we are in agreement, then I propose we board the 0931 Metrolink service from Anchorage to Cornbrook, arriving there at 0940 on Monday.
