After a rather uncomfortable night in Paddington Station, we take the 0833 0523 GWR service to Cardiff Central, arriving into Wales' capital at 1029 on Sunday. 0839 on Monday.
This rule extract always confuses me in what it intends to state.Rules
- You may not re-board the service just used in the previous post
Assuming it's okay (I'd say so, as they're different services!):This rule extract always confuses me in what it intends to state.
It's self-explanatory. You can't re-board a service we've just alighted. However, in my scenario, it was a new service with a new headcode and the same unit forming the next service so we were guaranteed to catch it. The previous headcode was 2L28, the next one was 2N23.This rule extract always confuses me in what it intends to state.
Leaving the coach station, we next board the 1413 National Express West Midlands service 60 to Cranes Park (Cranes Park Road/Dovercourt Road), arriving there at 1452 on Thursday. We then take the 10 minute (0.4 mile) walk to the Rose and Crown for our overnight break then board the 0850 National Express Service 112 to Digbeth, Birmingham Coach Station, arriving there at 1400 on Tuesday.
We then walk about 10 minutes down the road and board the 1848 National Express West Midlands service 7 towards Birmingham, alighting at Witton Road / Witton Square at 1901 on Tuesday. We take a a moment to relish in the beauty of Villa Park (UTV!).We take the nine minute/0.5 mile walk to Alston Road stop on Bordesley Green East, where we board the 1736 National Express West Midlands service 28 to Perry Common (Short Heath Road/Court Farm Road), arriving there at 1820 on Tuesday.
Sorry! @Hamma52’s post got stuck in the spam filter due to the use of the word University… can we continue from:We walk (4 min) to the hospital's Hildrop Grove stop where we board NXWM service 48 at 2009. We alight at Londonderry (Hayes Road) at 2040 on Tuesday.
We then walk over to University station, and board the 2037 Cross Country service 1V16 towards Cardiff Central, alighting at Gloucester at 2124 on Tuesday.
It's probably worth just deleting this at this point. Lesson learned, I'll never mention Un*versity station in Birmingham again!Hadn't realised that University was such a contentious word
Hoping there is no more spamwe take the regular but infrequent opportunity to leave Gloucester on a Voyager, by departing at 2205 on Cross Country's 1V70 towards Bristol. We alight at Bristol Parkway at 2231 on Tuesday.
