Some photos of each end of the working here (Credit: Thomas Stobbs) https://flic.kr/p/XwYiqz (20s) / https://flic.kr/p/XjRKaH (66772)

I thought the second identical post was to add please. More chance of a reply then instead of being ignored.
Sorry, typed it in a rush, went back and then ended up posting again!

I do no longer need the info, I found what I needed.

Morning all,

If anyone could let me know if 350112 or 350267 will be passing through Milton Keynes anytime today that'd be great.

Thanks,

FQ.

Don't worry about this now.

Pretty sure it's a Network Rail track machine/MPV. Freightmaster Mark will know for sure, though... ;)

I think Swindon Transfer is one of the GWML electrification bases.

Yes. Track machines have their own assigned headcodes, but I don't know which ones are designated to either 6H07 or 6H08.

Ah, so from the headcode you can tell which specific machine it is. You learn something new everyday... :)

On that basis, 6H07 used to be allocated to DR76914 (until Jan-16 at least) - but not sure if it still is.

Correct - 6H0x headcodes are used for the Windhoff 'high output'
electrification trains, but as far as I am aware they do not operate
in a fixed formation (unlike, say a rail grinder), as I have seem reports
of them formed of anything from three to six modules.

Just to confuse matters further, they also carry RIV numbers (70.9131.xxx)
on each vehicle!
