I will have to find it againCome on you've got share the link now!
That would be 68028 plus TP06Just been passed by a Nova3 set heading westbound at Batley, as it crossed the viaduct I noticed that the internal lighting is significantly brighter in the First class coach than the rest.
The reservation screens in green and red seemed very festive, now that December is upon us
A really excellent one, taken by Alex Ayre at Coatham Marsh, Redcar, with the steel works in the background, has been posted on the "The Class 68s & 88s" and "TPE Nova Fleet" Facebook Groups, which can't be shared directly here, due to the way the groups are set up. Several other shots, too, can be seen on those groups, including one with the Transporter Bridge in the background - which is something we discussed on here a while back!So any intrepid individuals managed to get a photo of the set at Redcar or anywhere else on route?
I’m in agreement, first Nova 3 north of York.

Well you are paying extra, so it's only right that they give you some more photons.

First Mk5a to Redcar!
When the reservation system goes live, you’ll be able to reserve seats (and bikes) up to 15 mins before departure from the station, with the train downloading the reservation to show on the screen. Bikes is currently switched on at back office level (since May ‘19) but doesn’t send the data to the train. That message is showing as there is no reservation data to show yet.
TPE already do reservations up to 10 mins before departure and have done for a while. (I certainly used it back in the summer to reserve four seats on the following train when our TPE service was cancelled.) And you can already buy Advance tickets up to 15 mins from departure on most routes.Good that the bike issue is sorted - TPE previously required it to be the day before (I think, or was it a couple of hours?) which is worse than useless. 5 minutes on VTWC, though, which TPE really should match.

Thanks!There's a video on youtube:
I know. But they don’t update live to the train. We use purple cards to denote the “May be reserved” nature of the seat.TPE already do reservations up to 10 mins before departure and have done for a while. You can already reserve cycle places up to 15 mins before departure, that started in May 2019.

Completely the wrong thread. Apologies. Ha ha.195001 on its own an MIA to Lime Street just now, I didn't even bother trying to get on at South Parkway. This is taking the Mick now. They used to be pairs of 156's, now we have less seats than a 142. Are they trying to put people off taking the train.
Just the one, more or all?spokesperson for TransPennine Express has said: "During maintenance and fault-finding on one of our new Nova 3 train sets, we discovered a software issue and as a precaution we have decided to hold the trains on depot until the issue is fixed. We are now working with our manufacturer CAF on the development, testing and validation of the necessary software update and expect to bring our Nova 3 trains back into service shortly."
That sounds suspiciously similar to the announcement from a couple of weeks ago... are Minster FM just slow on the uptake?

Just the one, more or all?
On Wednesday 30th October all of the TPE Nova 3 sets were temporarily withdrawn. On that day there were two sets in passenger service: 68027 working back to Longsight with TP09 as 5F74 16:44 from Scarborough, 68030 with TP12 worked 5F76 17:44 from Scarborough.
It popped up on a BBC news feed page yesterday evening but I Searched and linked minsterfm because the BBC feed pages keep rolling so any link would not contain the text. It has now rolled off the BBC. It seems BBC is now full of repeats online as well as on TV! Sorry for not noticing the date on minsterfm. This was all documented in the thread at the time. I’m curious as to why you’ve mentioned it.
