That's much clearer, thank you! Looks like I can grab WCML + the Pendolino as separate purchases after the free upgrade.
Yes you will be able to, WCML and the Pendolino are £29.99 and £14.99 respectively.

I think you'd regret doing that. Either buy them once they're on sale or offer (which will probably happen after a few months) if you want to get it on a budget or buy the thing "properly" in advance, imo. Buying small parts full price doesn't make much sense.

Personally what I would like to see for the WCML is a 319. Could be a good addition which would also work on some Northern routes!

It depends what you want out of TSW. I enjoy the UK routes, so wouldn't purchase the special/deluxe etc bundles in advance, as they come with US and German routes.

I’m slowly working through the Induction/Training phase of TSW4. My problem is it now wants me to train on driving steam, which I have no interest in. Is there a quick way to skip these? As it’s putting me off continuing!

Yeah you just go to choose the route you want to drive from the main menu and choose a service instead of following a "journey". It's been a while since I've played so the exact sequence of screens eludes me but there's no reason to follow the laid out path!

Intercity Livery confirmed for the 87 and 47’s as well as BR Blue, plus class 101 and 08 also included in BR Blue for WCML over Shap on Just Trains website :)

Linked from over at the Just Trains website but this shot is so, so atmospheric. Should be a really good route this.

Indeed, this is excellent, I dont know if this is your work but keep us updated please :)

Not my work, no. There's a thread dedicated to it on the TSW official forums, which is sometimes quite hard to find.

IMO they need quite a bit more "publicity"!

There's also a "bonus" third spreadsheet of "chaos runs" where you can by e.g. leaving late or taking another train over for a bit engineer interesting situations: Chaos mode spreadsheet

Very much looking forward to both WCML routes, and also the Cardiff network one. Was very underwhelmed with the ECML route offering with TSW4 last year.

What’s the opinion… is Dovetail losing focus on TS (and variants) preferring to let TSW take the strain? As a late convert to the latter, I’m not overjoyed at having to repurchase similar routes (where available) but am enjoying the Glasgow Subway in TS!

TS is pretty much dead, DTG have said they’re only doing compatibility updates. The engine was unbelievably old and trying to continue with it was pointless.

I'm looking at getting a new TV fairly soon - currently playing TSW on a PS5. My TV is not very good with gaming...best part of 10 years old, lots of jittering (especially with lots of AI traffic passing).

If I bought a 4K TV, how much difference would it make playing TSW?

If you get stuttering when AI traffic passes, that's not your TV, that's your console.

Wondered why despite upgrading to PS5 I was still getting jittering. It didn't even cross my mind that it could've been due to using a very old HD TV! Going to keep an eye on this thread, I may also look to upgrade to a 4k TV.

Not sure how I didn't see this comment before I replied to the thread. Tbh, with the way the game has been recently it's more likely to be a TSW issue than console hardware issue.

Ok, interesting! I assumed that a 4K TV would be better suited to gaming than an old standard HD TV. Maybe it's a TSW issue after all. If that's the case, I'm a bit concerned about frame rates around Euston at rush hour!

Dovetail have just said they've lost the branding rights with LNWR, so the 350s and the stations on the WCML route will be unbranded.

Ouch, wonder what happened there. They don't normally go for things unless they can get the authentic branding.

Some inevitable pushback from the TSW community after the livestream of WCML yesterday. I'm happy enough with the build quality, although it doesn't seem up to the standard of the GOBLIN/Suffragette Line. Also, why are the DC lines so quiet? Someone reported a 90 minute gap in the timetable in the middle of the day!

Don't quote me directly in terms of TSW5...

But I know it was said when the same question was raised about TSW4 that they couldn't run a fully representative timetable on the ECML as some of the lower spec consoles couldn't handle it. I'd imagine it's the same for this.

Hmm, that's a shame. I'm sure previous routes have been released with a full and reduced timetable. If Euston to Watford is deserted at rush hour, it would be a huge drawback. Dovetail have proved they can do intense running (London Commuter).
