You can also spawn them into any route you have, but for the 323 you'd need overhead juice too (UK methinks).
It's DTG; what did you expect?I've noticed that with the Thameslink 700/0 on SEHS Extended that some stations require you to stop at the FLU markers to get the correct stop accuracy, despite the fact that the /0 is the RLU variant.
Not much, really. Many of their routes and locos have inaccuracies. It's DTG; what did you expect?
Just looking on the Playstation store, that £27.99 price for the special edition was an absolute bargain! Its back up £69.99 now. Would that special edition on the PS5 at £27.99 have been a better purchase than Train Simulator Classic on the PC at £29.99?The PlayStation Store has an offer on for TSW4 special edition for £27.99 until midnight tonight.
It’s time to hit the main line with the thundering diesel power! The DB BR 218, developed by TSG, is coming June 25th!
The current German rail network is defined largely by long, high-speed electrified lines, hosting a range of powerful electric locomotives. But that wasn’t always the case! A fleet of powerful, noisy diesel-hydraulic locomotives once roamed the tracks, with the DB BR 218 taking up both passenger and freight duties on both main and branch lines.
I would say no, considering than a) TSW on consoles lacks mod support and b) a new TSW game this year is very likely, so you’d have to pay again this year for access to new content and bug fixes.Just looking on the Playstation store, that £27.99 price for the special edition was an absolute bargain! Perfect, thanks for replying! Train SIM Classic it is thenI would say no, considering than a) TSW on consoles lacks mod support and b) a new TSW game this year is very likely, so you’d have to pay again this year for access to new content and bug fixes.
The UFO-like tones of Desiro duty resonate through the suburban streets of Glasgow, get ready for more round-and-round running along the Cathcart Circle as the iconic and eye-catching Class 380 rolls into Train Sim World 4 on Thursday, July 11th!
IIRC the only officially support controllers are Raildriver and Xbox ones. There are ways to remap any controller to appear to the game like an Xbox controller but in my opinion it isn't worth the faff. I've generally found keyboard controls are fine for TSW.I weakened and bough TSW4 for PC having been a fan of Dovetail TS. One thing that confuses me is I thought I’d try a hand controller to make it a bit easier remembering all those key combinations - and someone lent me a USB one - however the Steam App says that it is incompatible, since they all look the same to me (!) what controller do I need for PC use? Tks!
What happens to TSW4 - does Steam simply auto-update to 5 or is it left to wither and die?
There is a free edition of TSW5 which includes some of the upgrades in the paid TSW5 version (but none of the new routes), so you can carry your routes over from previous editions and play them with the upgrades. What happens to TSW4 - does Steam simply auto-update to 5 or is it left to wither and die?
Thanks - only had it for 3 months so not a happy bunny!
It includes all the upgrades that aren't specific to the new TSW5 routes. There is a free edition of TSW5 which includes some of the upgrades in the paid TSW5 version (but none of the new routes), so you can carry your routes over from previous editions and play them with the upgrades.
Presumably it will operate to the same specs, but the upgrades are normally a reasonable additional size you need to accommodate. The ECML South is pretty dull in real life, so it’s no surprise to me at least that it’s a bit dull in a game too.Do you know if the free upgrade will take much more hard drive space or require a higher specification computer than TSW4? I assume that once an upgrade is done you can then buy the Euston to MK route separately. I must say I bought TSW4 but haven't been over keen on the Peterborough - Doncaster route that came with it due to a lack of stops along the way.
The chances are or almost certainly they will not run in TSW4.I'm slightly confused by all the different versions of TSW5. I'd like to get WCML with the 390...so I assume I can purchase these separately on release date, then move all my content over from TSW4?
This happens every September and it never seems easy!
No, a clean installation. TSW4 will still be there, but in a different folder unless you remove it.What happens to TSW4 - does Steam simply auto-update to 5 or is it left to wither and die?
DTG having a sale??? never!! lol!! They usually hold off a couple of months with a new sim update or route, but yes I'm sure you'll have a bargain price in a couple of months. I held off for the Hadfield route, wasn't desperate, so didn't mind waiting to save a few quid.As a TS addict from 2014, I weakened and only bought TSW4 in May ‘24. Whilst the announced new feature set looks good, but I doubt I’d buy the game again unless in the 50% sale!
What a lot of people seem to have missed is you don't need to! You just need to claim the new version within 30 days of launch, and you get to keep it forever, for free! All your TSW4 add ons will move over with you. If you want any routes or locos you can buy them separately on launch day, or buy a bundle if that's better value. Even if you don't want anything releasing now it's a no brainer to get it incase you like a future route. As a TS addict from 2014, I weakened and only bought TSW4 in May ‘24. That's much clearer, thank you! Looks like I can grab WCML + the Pendolino as separate purchases after the free upgrade. What a lot of people seem to have missed is you don't need to!
