I just got back from Doncaster. I didn't make it unfortunately, along with the whole group. I got caught out by the TEA Occ test where you have to count the tones while going through the phone directory. It was harder than I thought.
I think the rest of the group failed on the dots? The group of four of us were on our way home within 30 minutes of arrival. Well done to Polar for passing and good luck to the rest of you in the process.
By the way, I was one of the 40 chosen from 2000 to do the assessments, and I am 54 years old. So don't listen to anyone who says the railway won't look at you past 50. If you're the right guy to do the job and can get through the tests, you can apply well into your fifties it seems and get through the sift.

By the way, I got selected for the tests during the latest recruitment drive, and I'd applied for Acton.
