Don't have to put up with an Audi bullying you in the third lane. No parallel parking. No zebra crossings. Easy.
Woah woah woah.

BMW's would feel so left out if they knew you missed them!

Especially the one a couple nights ago sitting on my bumper on the A12 manically flashing me!

I went to the afternoon one. Also quite enjoyed it. Genuinely curious whether I did enough - other than one silent bloke and an enthusiastic but inarticulate monopoliser, my groups lacked obvious stereotypes.

I was there on Tuesday afternoon too and also rather enjoyed the experience. I know I wasn't a "silent bloke" and pretty sure I wasn't an "inarticulate monopoliser", although I wasn't afraid to chip in where appropriate. But as has been said, all you can do is be yourself, and who knows what they are really looking for? It's done now and out of our hands - won't stop us checking our emails every five minutes though, will it?!

I don't understand people who go to these assessments and don't say a word, why bother turning up, although I recognise there must be a fine line between having your say and coming across as totally dominant

Thank you! (",)

So who will I be seeing in York at 8:30 on Tuesday?

Not going to lie, I'm pretty nervous!

I'll be there on Tuesday as well! I'm nervous and excited at the same time. I'm just hoping no-one tries to dominate the group exercise and make it awkward to get a word in!

There are three exercises and they mix the groups for each. I found the standard very high. Everyone was good and got well involved. Good luck

I really wouldn't stress yourself over the group assessment. No-one is at an advantage at this point and turning up anxious will only work against you.

Just be yourself and get involved. There are no "Right" answers to any of the exercises. The assessors want to see that your personality fits the Virgin brand.

Good luck!

Hope everyone enjoyed the session at York today! I actually enjoyed it and it was great to see a good mix of people there. The time went super fast and just to echo what everyone else said, relax and be yourself! :D Fate will decide the outcome; I'm chuffed to have got this far and I just hope i've done enough to progress to the next stage.

Was at York today. No idea how I or anyone else faired! Given that it's subjective we'll just have to wait and see. I'm not going to give too much insight as it wouldn't be fair. As others have said, there is no prep work you can do.
Sort of enjoyed the morning, had a laugh with a few chaps I met, what will be will be.

Good luck one and all.

Congratulations!

Any tips for the psychometrics would be much appreciated, especially the MMI!

My view on the testing has always been you can either do it or you can't. That sound blunt but there is a certain degree of natural ability. Yes you can play video games/ bop it for the reaction test and you can practice the GB but some of the tests it's pretty much you've either got it or you haven't!

MMI seems to freak a lot of people out and it seems to be blown up into this big thing. If you've ever done a competency based interview it's very similar but more in depth. All I'll say is don't even try to blag it because their probing questions will trip you up if your telling porkies.

I'm still waiting to hear back after I attended Newcastle last week. I'm praying it's good news as I have my heart set on this.

sorry to hear that mate, don't give up another opportunity will come up and you did well even getting to assessments. I did ask the question at my assessment but wasn't convinced by the answer as she sounded unsure.
