Won’t TPE have 13 Mk5s in total? 7 for Scarbs & 5 for Redcar with 2 Class 185 turns?Wrong.. The 7 Middlesboro (Redcar) diagrams will eventually be 3x68/Mk5s and 4x pairs of 185s. The 7 Scarboro diagrams will all be 68/Mk5s.

They might have 13 sets but I don't think they'll have 13 Class 68s at their disposal all the time, if at all.
No. Initial plan was for 12 out of 13 sets to be in service, 6 on each circuit. Since then, problems with turnround times and arrangements increased the need to 7 diagrams on each route (from 6). Then lack of confidence in the reliability of the sets has seen the plan reduced to 11, then subsequently 10 sets out at any one time. The split is going to be 7 on the Scarboros and 3 on the Redcars.Won’t TPE have 13 Mk5s in total? 7 for Scarbs & 5 for Redcar with 2 Class 185 turns?

Stepping back, I saw that referred to once. Was in relation to the Northern Line at Morden where the next driver was waiting at the country end and got in the cab the moment the train stopped. I wonder how many pax were whisked away again!FGW/GWR learned the turnaround lesson some time ago, local stoppers used to have a 10 min-ish turnround at Penzance. Now there's still a train back out pretty sharpish, but it's a different unit, the terminators having a leisurely turnround onto the next one out.
Basically hourly departures from Liverpool Lime St to Newcastle Central will be 802 operated with the exception of the 06:54 to Scarborough which will be 68/Mk5 operated.
Similarly, all arrivals at Liverpool will be 802s except the Glasgow services and the 06:34 from Manchester Victoria (this is 68/Mk5 operated).
Comapared to the current timetable, there is a later service that departs Liverpool Lime St to Newcastle at 21:08 to and an arrival at 23:14 from Newcastle.
The 17:24 Liverpool - Newcastle service is being removed from the timetable altogether.
No more runs to Manchester Airport anymore
It’s roughly the same, there or thereabouts with the exception of a peak hour service from Liverpool removed from the timetable. However, there will be more services between Manchester and Leeds with the reintroduction of some late night and early morning services.Does that represent more workings between Manchester and Leeds, fewer, or roughly the same?

Sunday’s will see a reduction between Manchester and Huddersfield due to the Hull service replacing the stopper.
They’ve still got a 3.5hr gap between services from Leeds to Piccadilly, and a 2.5hr gap between services from Leeds to any Manchester Station.
They really need to reinstate the 05:45 or send the 06:00 round to Piccadilly and the Airport like they used to.
