How many 769s are left now? Apologies if this has been asked before, I'm not local and don't follow this thread as religiously as some others.

Yes sorry, 769452 has gone so the three runners are 769008, 769421 and 769445. Although 769008 hasn't worked for over a week. Tomorrow (Sunday) is the last day of booked work.I was on 769 421 the other day and it is showing as running today on RTT
Will that mean all diagrams on 27th will be 231s if so yippee that'll make for a good ride to my grandfather if the 175s play ball.Yes sorry, 769452 has gone so the three runners are 769008, 769421 and 769445. It was said a few weeks back on this thread that all diagrams should be 231s from the timetable change. Whether anything has changed since then I don't knowWill that mean all diagrams on 27th will be 231s if so yippee that'll make for a good ride to my grandfather if the 175s play ball.
Ok thanks I look forward to seeing 231s on the line finally will have tables on journey back home reliablyIt was said a few weeks back on this thread that all diagrams should be 231s from the timetable change. Whether anything has changed since then I don't know
What do you mean “back,” like it was ever a route with guaranteed tables? 150s have always been an addition, not the principal traction. Prior to 769s, many, many Rhymney Valley services were Pacers which certainly didn’t have them.Ok thanks I look forward to seeing 231s on the line finally will have tables back reliably
Many journeys I would do as I travel out of peak was on a 150 up the line and 769 back down due to being at 1700, so last few years it's been a case got me I have no tableWhat do you mean “back,” like it was ever a route with guaranteed tables? 150s have always been an addition, not the principal traction. Ohhh you mean back as in back home, not back as in back from being gone My mistakeMany journeys I would do as I travel out of peak was on a 150 up the line and 769 back down due to being at 1700, so last few years it's been a case got me I have no table
Yes I certainly should have worded it better, travelling from west Wales i usually am eating when heading towards Cardiff on the lineOhhh you mean back as in back home, not back as in back from being gone My mistake
My understanding is that there will be six class 231 diagrams from tomorrow and nine from the 22nd.Will that mean all diagrams on 27th will be 231s if so yippee that'll make for a good ride to my grandfather if the 175s play ball.
That is the run they normally do prior to being sent over to the Brickyard for onward road movement769 421 seems to be out today.
And 769 421 seems to be out again today. (Tuesday) - just a quick out-and-back from Canton to Bargoed and back, it seems.

421 & 445 were both on workings that finished up in Rhymney so they stabled there as normal. Both are out again today.Interesting so unless return ECS workings are missing from Realtimetrains they are both spending the night in Rhymney.
Yes, they have to be returned in a working condition so a few have done a quick Canton to Bargoed run before heading off however, as mentioned by Anonymous 10, it worked to Rhymney in the evening so that run was probably for another reasonInteresting.
Is this just to show that they still work? (I'm not sure how well it was working - the traction motor I was above didn't sound at all normal...)

Reported elsewhere that yesterday was the last day for 769 421 and 769 445
It looks like it. I for one will miss them even with their faults. No sign of any 769s on Realtimetrains today or yesterday.
Is that really it then for the 769s in passenger service in the Valleys?
