Hi,
I recently disembarked from a 156 at Irlam station and when I stepped off the train was a little surprised by the size of the gap to the platform. It was by no means unsafe but is definitely the largest gap I've come across in the UK. It was because part of the platform has been elevated (presumably to deal with modern stock) whereas the section of the platform my door opened at was not. If you look closely you can see the elevation change here:

This has lead me to wonder does anyone know the station with the largest gap between the train and the platform in the UK?
